Hey Alfred, I would need more information as to what lath is under the stucco piece that fell off, If is the old wood lath simply clean up the lath extremely well and apply wire or a bonding agent and re-stucco it. If it's not call me on my home phone and explain it to me. 510 521-9546
Thanks,

Hey there yellowpeein thepool, Thanks for the compliment. I do try these days to be more informative, if I’m not my son Jason, says (dad, you didn’t explain it to where I understand, How do you expect anyone else to?) do it again. I am an applicator by nature, I now try explaining what I know instead of just doing it.
Thanks for the reply and have a great day!

None of the stuff he calls lath is lath its chicken wire—–metal lath is expanded metal 28 inches wide and 8 ft long
contraire mon frère Rufus Redbud, chicken wire is 20 gage and is used is either tile setting or for actual chicken coops. lath wire for stucco is 17 gage, you are correct in expanded wire., in the trades we use this expanded 3.4 mesh for ceilings. Have a Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season. kirk Giordano and family
I know what it used for but its not metal lath—I was a union lather for 30 years
Good morning Rufus Redbud, it's been called many things, what ever a fella chooses to call it, I'm easy so it matters little to me. best wishes, kirk Giordano
Kirk Im getting my 1939 house restuccoed right now and I just saw this video about weep screed. should I stop the job, I dont see any weep screed going on. I'm seeing patch work and some with fiberglass Mesh on some spots and brown coat going over 1939 stucco and I'm told finish coat will go on last.
@Kirk Giordano plastering Inc. Thank you Kirk. I will read more. I appreciate your wisdom. Thanks for reponding to me.
