Stucco family working in harmony
Good morning ladies and gentlemen. In this video, I have the pleasure to be working/playing with my family once again.
The beauty of working with family is harmony. I don’t have to tell anyone what to do, as there is a balance of harmony in understanding how to make a project run smoothly and have fun at the same time.
Everyone does whatever needs to be done, and with a good attitude.
We show how to apply or spread a same-day stucco scratch and brown coat on this home.
S’oooo my subscribers or friends that somehow mysteriously find or stumble onto our how-to channel.
This show and tell Stucco or cement plastering video, my family and I are showing while explaining Stucco and what’s, also known as cement plastering methods and applications.
BTW, I’m using Eisenwall hydraulic cement plaster in this video. Unfortunately, this hydraulic cement plaster is only sold at the professional plastering yards; thus, if you think I’m going to do like ole Kirk.
Google plastering yards near me. When we purchase Eisenwall cement plaster, we add three times as much sand to every cement plaster bag.
An example, for every 100-pound bag of cement plaster, an additional 300 pounds of sand is added, plus water.
This is extremely important; all same-day scratch and born stuccoes have a maximum mix time of 3 to 5 minutes.
What happens if you mix this hydraulic stucco longer? Excellent question.
The strength is compromised on all same-day stuccos when overmixed.
Next, kick back, relax, and enjoy the video!
Oh yeah, don’t forget to save the world, like and subscribe. It’s not only good karma, but It also makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over.

I stumbled upon this video while looking for one of your others. You and your lovely wife must be really proud of all those kids. It certainly seems as though you're teaching them all the value of hard work and pride of a job well done – not to mention the benefit of passing done a trade and tradition. I'm confident all your kids are proud of you. Now I'm off to find that video I was looking for about plastering over concrete block walls – I'm going to practice on a garage my wife's grandfather built in the early 40s when he came to America from Italy. Take care.
Evening North Dude, now thems just beautiful words, thank you

one question can you do that with sand and portland cement
Evening Rey, many of the one coat cement plasters are made from portland cement plaster, they add the accelerators. So yes, it can be done.

Kirk I enjoy the videos. I'm a plasterer here in Idaho. When I started hoddying we only did stucco. I notice you don't rod the walls but Darby them. And you use corner aid/rite instead or corner bead and run lines down them . My boss says that a California thing. Oh and that skinny scaffold my hell I've only been one a few jobs with them and it really makes me appreciate a frames . Still.. I dig it and it's all preference I suppose. My wife gives me hell about watching plastering videos like don't you get enough of that at work for the last 13 years. Lol.. anyways always enjoy the videos and the humor.. that's what gets us through the days. All the plasters I have met have def been some characters
Happy New Year Joseph, thank you,

Yo kirk look into a Refina power float. Will save you loads of time & effort plus it will give you a more even & better finish. There not cheap but we in the UK use them. Get the “plastic float disk”.
Happy New Year Tristy, thanks for the tip.

Plaster chef
For some reason I really enjoy watching these videos. Kirk has talent, not only for his trade, but also in presenting a story well. Makes me want to get a trowel and turn my home into the only stucco, plastered, rendered house in the neighborhood.
Wow nice to able to have your children to help out
Kirk, learn to take mud off the front of your hoc, at least you wear your margin trowel correctly
You guys must be pretty good to do stucco in a white shirts. I'll stick to grey shirts for a while. Thumbs up
Thanks for the videos and teaching. Question. When you are using the hand float, are you doing this in the scratch or the brown? If it is the scratch, then do you scratch it after you float it? Thanks again.
is your daughter single buddy?
you are great plasterer Kirk….
Great job Kirk incorporating your fam and your trade!
