Leaking Scupper

January 22, 2016 By Stucco Plastering 5 Comments

Leaking Scuppers

Hello ambitious guys and gals, who are interested in learning how to do it yourself, now possibly you can. The more of these video’s you watch the clearer it becomes in connecting the dots to complete plastering and stucco repairs.

I’m showing here proper way to install a scupper, the the scupper is part of the system which allows the rain to properly drain off the roof to avoid puddling, or in the case in this video a swimming pool on the roof.
Generally you first apply paper around the drain pipe, then caulk or fuse the paper to this most important pipe and your moisture barrier. then plaster and attach.
If there is already a leak in your current Scupper and you attach a bigger Scupper and caulk around the top of the stucco, this works temporally, or until the caulking fails, it’s also a great idea to place a screen which will allow the water to go through but not the leaves, however this screen must be checked as necessary as leaves will disintegrate and now this dirt will clog a screening system within a year or two.

With a small bit of attention you can and will save cash, create a sense of euphoria and sleep well knowing, no problemo, I repaired this Scupper myself. myself.
Save cash, great workout, sense of accomplishment, what more in life does a righteous person desire?

Stucco Guru Shows Sample of Stucco Surfaces

Stucco Guru Shows Sample of Stucco Surfaces

Hello guys and gals, in this video we show the most common stucco finishes which are available using a two coat system for folks who wish to paint and go as smooth as stucco will allow.
(PLEASE, keep in mind in this video I say cracks will occur with 2 coat stucco systems, but they are generally small enough to be flooded with any quality paint, or worse case, a bit of caulking which take just minutes.)

There are of course many other 2 coat stucco textures besides these four, such as skip trowel, Spanish lace, adobe and so on, textures are limited only to one imagination.

Fix an ugly stucco patch

Fix an ugly stucco patch

Hello ambitious guys and gals, who are interested in learning how to plaster or Fix an ugly stucco patch,
this so called popular video gives a step by step video tutorial With a small bit of attention you can connect the dots in understanding the basics of stucco and plastering,
this know how can be used to save you some dough, and if you do the work yourself will help create a sense of euphoria and peaceful nights sleep knowing, cool beans daddio, I did this small plaster repair myself.

FYI, Most desk workers who aren’t fortunate enough to have a job which requires physical labor so they don’t realize the sense of euphoria that the often deeper, and continuous heavy and deep breathing brings about to our health, we tend to forget to use our entire lungs to grab air (oxygen) instead we do what babies or alcoholic’s do breath with just our stomach, bad news, get physical learn to take huge amount of oxygen into full chest and stomach.
This deep breathing creates extra oxygen into all the cells and muscles which helps with avoiding decease and gives that sense of calm, even if life throw a cure you way, again, what more does a righteous person need.

Plaster over interior concrete and or drywall, drywall compound uses

July 10, 2013 By Stucco Plastering 133 Comments

Plaster over interior concrete and or drywall, drywall compound uses

Howdy everyone, on this interior garage wall we show how to plaster over interior concrete and or drywall, using a drywall compound.

In this video I am using a drywall compound, however you can use
Structo-lite then come back with a taping mud or plaster finish.
Or you can use Imperial or Diamond basecoat plaster with a diamond or imperial veneer plaster finish or you can even apply an exterior stucco then finish with taping mud or plaster.
You can even apply 3 to 4 coats of taping mud waiting at least 24 hours between coats until you finally get the proper thickness.
I have done this type of repair even more ways than these above mentioned but hopefully you get the idea.
