Repair simple to severe cracking in stucco or plaster walls

Repair simple to severe cracking in stucco or plaster walls

Howdy everyone, this video explains how we correct large settlement structural cracks.
To repair cracks takes more time in than most folks realize. For example, in the early morning they are the largest and in the hot sun they are almost invisible. (Stucco walls expand and contract)
Some caulking has sand some don’t. Some caulking can’t be painted, so these must not be used for a painted stucco surface.

Dash brush tip for stucco patterns

Hi guys, this short video explains the correct way to achieve a dash finish. The other stucco guys that did the patchwork gave it a float finish and after it was painted the home saw that it was not the correct finish.

How to repair a hole in a stucco wall, car ran into

Hello everyone, I was told this wall got run into about at 2 A.M. in the morning. A few blocks away is a popular bar, Go figure, who would jump a curb going parallel with this wall? I’m not judging, just glad it wasn’t me.
Anyhow this video explains how we corrected the framing and plaster, after breaking out the damaged stucco area where the car hit. I then added a few new studs where necessary, applied (2) layers of jumbo tex weather barrier paper, I then attached the 3.4 galvanized mesh wire.
I wanted the wire tight and just happened to have this mesh on my truck. (I could have used paper back wire also) Lastly I applied two coats of stucco with a textured finish to match the existing finish. Piece of cake.
