Learn to repair stucco siding yourself before and after

August 5, 2022 By Kirk Giordano

The link below shows stucco applications for a similar home until we get to that stage on this cool home. https://youtu.be/t9FbRK1VuPQ/

Hello folks, Jason and I start all our videos by explaining what we’re going to do and how we, as professional installers and applicators of exterior lath and stucco or interior plastering, decide on the method of completing our task.
Remember, there are many ways to skin a cat.
Our method used to achieve our goals come from over 40 years of applied experience.
Thus folks can depend on us for sound advice no matter how much I may ramble about my past experiences.

Below are all the basic tools we use and recommend on Amazon’s website.

How to Waterproof your stucco brick porch

Howdy subscribers, below are all the basic tools we use and recommend on Amazon’s website.

https://youtu.be/_3OCYMTqoDE/. Learning how to lath stucco to your home.

FYI, the caulkings used were the first Sikaflex-1a is a premium-grade, high-performance, moisture-cured polyurethane-based, non-sag elastomeric adhesive sealant if it gets on anything, it’s there to stay, like luggage. https://usa.sika.com/

The second is Mor-Flexx it lets you cover up unsightly cracks, so no one will know they existed. It’s designed for brick grout and many other things.
https://www.sashco.com/products/mor-flexx/

It’s water soluble; thus, when it drys, it will naturally be lighter, no doubt.
But it won’t even be noticeable after a month of weather, dust, dirt, and grimness.

Special tip, anyone who has questions on stucco or plastering; simply type your question into our channel, and like magic, a video will appear to explain how it’s done.

Howdy all, when getting ready to stucco any kind of porch or roof, you should place your stucco weep or drip screed at least a half inch to two inches above the floor deck or roof.
Why? Excellent question; stucco lasts forever, but porches and roofs do not. Who wants to break out stucco to replace a porch? The answer is no one.

How to hang corner or arch aid before stucco

https://youtu.be/_3OCYMTqoDE/. Learning how to lath stucco to your home.

This video explains how to hang corners and arch aid, beads, or casings before stucco.
This is one of the most time-consuming things when lathing.
And most critical, you must be able to hang them straight.
Note this can be done by eye or without using a level.
In fact, I have never used a level, ever, you just look at both sides and try not to bend the corner’s eyeball it, then attach it.
