Fix a leaking exterior stucco wall, very detailed fixing methods

Howdy guys and gals, in this video Jason and I explain what we did in order to correct a leak in this existing stucco wall. Fortunately I have seen this same problem quite a few times and had an idea of what we might find.

Control and or expansion joints where house meets garage

Control and or expansion joints where house meets garage

Howdy guys and gals, in this video I try and explain why to separate structures tend to crack where they meet up against one another.
I usually encounter this cracking question when we do color coats, folks often ask me, “when you color coat will it fix this cracking area,” where say the house meets the garage where the two weren’t engineered at the same date and were instead added at a later date without proper tie ins.

Flashing stairs before tile or stucco, Stair flashing where stairs meet a stucco wall

Flashing stairs before tile or stucco, Stair flashing where stairs meet a stucco wall.
Proper Stair flashing where stairs meet a stucco wall.
Hello everyone, I did not install the flashing on these stairs. I am simply explaining what an excellent job James Loera has done.

You may reach him at (707) 322-3620 or E-mail him at jamesloera@yahoo.com.

Notice he soldered all his seams.

If you caulk these, it’s not a matter of if they will leak but when they will. Notice how James’s stair flashing should be installed where the stairs meet the stucco walls.

If you are going to have tile set on steps, this is a must-do.
The waterproof membrane can now be done.
Then a mesh wire before application of thin-set.

Of course, you can also do concrete as long as the membrane is laid out first.
Remember, after the membrane is applied (usually a peel and stick), a person would now be ready for concrete or tile work.

Next, kick back, relax, and enjoy the video!

Humps and bumps in a stucco wall, adobe patterns in stucco

How to apply humps and bumps in a stucco wall, adobe patterns in stucco
Hi Guys and gals, in this video my son Jason Giordano video’s while I explain how we apply humps and bumps in a stucco wall to match the existing stucco humps. Takes a bit of practice, but is really simple.
This type of stucco finish is actually done in the brown coat as it takes a few coats to build up the humps & bumps or whatever you want to call these pancakes on the stucco wall.

Best way to match an existing stucco texture with a new texture

Best way to match an existing stucco texture with a new texture

Howdy guys and gals, I received an e-mail from this guy asking if I could remove and re-stucco this slider. I informed him what he did was fine, just not finished. My son and I came out and applied the stucco texture to match the existing finish. It took us longer to drive to this home than to actually apply the texture. Please, feel free to e-mail me any pictures for immediate bids. Simply go to my web site, there is an e-mail me line for easy e-mailing. If I am too busy I will be happy to refer you to another stucco guy.
