Does it matter if the corner metal edge shows through stucco

Does it matter if the corner metal edge shows through stucco
Corner Aid, corner beads, Read more below!

Hello Everyone, in this short explanation video I answer a common question that i’m asked often by e-mail, does it matter if the metal edge or commonly refried to as the corner aid or bead edge shows through a two coat stucco system, yes and no,
Yes, if so much of the corner wire is exposed that when painted you see very clearly this metal corner.
No, if when painted it’s barely visible.
It matter very much if you apply a third coat (Color Coat) which is termed a three cost traditional stucco system.
This last maintenance free colored stucco finish should cover this metal edge completely as no more color will be applied and this exposed metal edge may eventually rust.
( Eye sore or cardinal sin)
What I may miss while explaining in the video I have outlined more clearly in this description.

Cementing a door threshold instead of replacing the wood one

Cementing a door threshold instead of replacing the wood one

Howdy guys and gals, in this plastering video we show you one another way to repair a threshold, (instead of replacing the wood) stucco is water resistant and last forever.

Painting also helps to protect any wood that’s embedded.

That being said if it’s a decorative piece of wood you may want to rethink not replacing it for cosmetic reasons.

Repair an area where a downspout was removed with stucco

Repair an area where a downspout was removed with stucco

Howdy guys and gals, in this video I explain how to best repair a stucco area where a downspout pipe was removed. Sometimes downspouts are color coated, plastered or stucco in or even painted in, which embeds them so you have to grind or scrape off the edges before you can skim coat over the area, otherwise the edge will show through the paint. Which will result in a patch that is visibly ugly, or what is called an eyesore.
