Easy Stucco Home repairs on mailboxes, lamppost or any stucco wall

Easy Stucco Home repairs on mailboxes, lamppost or any stucco wall

Howdy folks, in this video I explain how to repair loose stucco finishes. “Interior plaster does not work outside.”
Jason mixed me some stucco which I told him to add extra accelerators to, and as I was rambaling on about other aspects of what I was doing the material already started setting, fortunately I can apply stiff or loose mud and made it work.
Lastly, luminite or stucco setter is primary used for Portland cements I added some to this color coat material as the bag was just opened and I was not going to thick.
I don’t advise anyone with no experience to do this.
You home owners are better off using some of the rapid set base coats sold at home depot for similar repairs.

What causes stucco to buckle, how to repair buckling stucco, why does stucco buckle? fix buckling stucco!

Howdy guys and gals, on this small project the homeowner e-mailed me a picture of this buckling stucco. I was able to determine the reasoning for the buckling stucco through the picture. It was a simple fix and a very common and naturally occurring situation for stucco on the back side of a multiple story home on a busy street. I explain how to repair this structural crack at the mud sill of a home.

Note, this type of cracking and buckling are normal and not as damaging as they appear, however unsightly.
Most occur because a drip or weep screed was not used at the mud sill.
These metal screeds weren’t mandatory until 1975, but even after this date it still took a while before all homes had this metal installed. By the way a home with a drip or weep screed can still hairline crack but it usually does not buckle as this one has.

Fix or repair peeling or buckling plaster, loose finish coat

January 25, 2012 By Stucco Plastering 6 Comments

Fx or repair peeling or buckling plaster, loose finish coat

Howdy guys and gal, in this step by step video, I explain common occurrences to skim coats when the bonding agent is added in the mixer. (To try save time and efforts) I have read on some bottles myself that you may add the bonding agent to the actually mix. Fact is I don’t know of any instances where the material will adhere if the bonding agent is diluted and destroyed in the mix, Instead apply the bonding agent to the home or building by brush, or roller. This way takes more time but the skim coat or color finish will stand the test of time. I usually use Weld Crete as my bonding agent.
