@Paintbrush 1962 Hello Paintbrush dude, England's, cool but too cool as in cold for my blood.
But the scenery as in old world pebble dash finishes and old style stucco buildings and attitudes are top notch.
best wishes,

Nice work kirk do you ever do dry dash. I have never seen it done in U.S. That's what we do in Glasgow. Great channel you's do a great job.
@david mccartney Hi David, no, I believe you're referring to a thrown on pebble dash such as durite canterbury spar, they don't sell this material here in the U.S. and it's too heavy to have delivered, yes I have trid 5 material yards from the UK. An excellent product as it really adheres well.
There's little demand for this high end but beautiful and unusual finish.
I did one home more than 30 years ago while working for a plastering contractor.
Best wishes.

Kirk giordano on teaching plastering
Hello again Kirk. My stucco repair came out descent but I want to add more texture since the original application was a sand finish with a hopper. I decided to use the Dash brush by loading the bristles, holding the brush handle down, then pulling the bristles back and letting the stucco shoot onto the wall. There wasn't any extra soupy splatter on the wall, just speckles of texture which is what I wanted. The texture matched great this way since in wasn't as heavy of a dash in this video. Problem is that the finish crumbles and falls off the wall when touching it after it dried. I wet the wall prior and used LaHabra finish. Any suggestions?
Evening Rondie, yes, next time mist the wall with water for a proper mechanical bond.
Your wall or your stucco was too dry, sorry.
Watch this video again, I expalin this.

Howdy Jose, of course, you can dash using a color coat finish and yes you can use 20/30 or the thicker sand as in 16/20. Jose, you can also dash by hand or hand hopper. Best wishes,Sound advice From your neighborhood stucco geeks

Beautiful job Kirk. I replaced an light fixture with an electrical outlet outside my house and had some additional stucco come off around the new outlet. I mudded around the new outlet, but need to apply a dash stucco finish to match the existing wall. Would you recommend using a smaller brush for a small job? Or any other recommendations for a small job like this? Many thanks for your advice and looking forward to your new videos.
