Spread 2 coats of plaster with a skip trowel finish same day stuff
Hi guys and gals, in this video I apply two coats of Portland stucco followed by a color topping skip trowel texture. I did this video to mainly show how to lay on a skip trowel finish to show a fella who emailed me the question of how to law on a skip trowel finish in tight areas.
The owner agreed to paint after the stucco has neutralized. Usually about 28 days. By the way our newer videos I use a mike so it’s easier to understand what I am saying through all the different job-site noises.

Amazing! Its awesome to see pros like you at work….I like when you show how you actually apply the finishes, and not just the stages of how you progress on a job. Stucco and plastering is truly like a fine art! 🙂

Thank you for the compliment. The work is more a labor of love, as it comes very easy to me.
Thanks for watching.

For the first coat of plaster on wire lath, plaster of Paris is mixed with what?
Hi Mario, I used Portland cement stucco mixed with sand for the first and second coat. 1 part Portland stucco 3 parts sand and water.
Plaster of Paris is easy-to-use for arts and craft material. It can be used to pour sculpture castings and as a mold-making material like casts too, as it sets in 10 minutes after mixing and is complete in about 45
Home depot also sells White Plaster of Paris Dry Mix for interior use.
Have a groovy evening,
