Skim coat over, stucco, cinder block, brick or plaster
Hello everyone, in this short video I show an example of a skim coat. The same principal’s apply to skim coating over, stucco, cinder block, brick, or plaster. We can apply skim coats over retaining walls, block walls, concrete, stucco or brick. A skim coat is a thinner coat than the traditional two coat system. It’s usually about 1/4 inch to 3/8 of an inch thick for exteriors. Typical exterior stucco systems are finishes are 7/8 thick.
