That's the exact application I have where stucco meets wood eaves. I do have a question though. Q: What type of exterior caulk is best for new unpainted wood under the eaves. (I just had a new roof put on & they replaced all the wood for the eaves with new). I want to seal all gaps & paint w/latex paint. So it has to LAST and be paintable. Silicone w/acrylic?
Hey Stuff dude,
I like to use polyurethane's although they are tough to blend in and clean up, you need thinner or denatured alcohol.
But it last the longest.
If you use the Dap Acrylic Latex Caulk Plus Silicone it's extremely user friendly and clean up.
Lastly if it's a sandy finish use mor-flex as it has sand.
Best wishes on the decision.

Thanks for the info man. Acrylic Latex w/Silicone sounds like the best choice for my application. Thanks again & take care.
For anyone who is needing the best caulking that does not shrink & never have to re apply more the next day use PL Pro line Loctite 8X Grab it's the best on the market & nothing comes close…it is paintable & hardens like rock in couple hours I have used it filling areas under roofing boards that are lose will make the boards solid & is good as a stucco sealer for holes & cracks it's the best….
Howdy Old Timer, great tip, as old Kirk don't know it all.

If you use a non-shrink caulking like neural cure silicone or any hybrid products, you don’t need to worry about shrinkage. It’s all about the formulation on the caulk. Supra Expert is solvent base, known to shrink up to 50%! Take it from a adhesive/sealant expert:)
THANKS
no problemo.
Is that a a frame later safety first
Thanks for the tip. BTW, Are those spider webs? Man, who lives there?
