Hello world, Seeking a chassis for my Ford utility or box Truck, F350 Master Craftsman Truck. Which will comply with California smog laws.
Interesting today, 3/04/2022, I did a VIN number check online at FaxVin their records show this as a 1990 Ford F-450 SD. Made in Oakville Ontario Canada?
The front bumper decals say F350?
It’s confusing to me as I can’t talk to DMV, they simply say accounting to the Vin, Blaw, Blaw Blaw.
Vin number below, in case someone has an idea and time to share the wealth of information I lack.
I know stucco, but not Truck rules. Any tips would be appreciated.
Thus seeking to buy a newer chassis ford F450 chassis of 2010 or newer? With a “gas-powered engine” with between 50 to 60 thousand miles that meet current rules and regulations, then transfer our bed and ladder rack to it. Does anyone know of one for sale?
I wish to thank you all for the comments as from them, Jason and I have decided on the most popular course of action.
The win-win solution.
Besides, my ladder rack and boxes believe they are alive and have developed strong attachments. I’d hate to have these metal objects think I abandoned them like yesterday’s old newspapers.😏
Plus, we have earned the upgrade. Thanks again all for pointing us in the right direction.🍾
Jay and I are willing to drive up to 4 hours to purchase the proper Chassis to transfer our rack and utility box.
After this is complete, I will simply sell the two remaining trucks.
The newer F350 utility box, no doubt on craigslist.
The oldie, but goodie on eBay.
We’re not looking to get rich, but Jay and I both believe in fairness in all matters of life.
FYI, this quick chat has nothing to do with politics. But since some comments are going in that direction. So here’s my take on politics.
50 years ago, The late Great comedian Red Fox asked a lady. Would you sleep with me for a million dollars? she said, Okay! So then, Red asks, would you sleep with me for 20 bucks?
The lady says, what kind of a person do you think I am? Red says, we already established that now we’re working on cost. To me, he was describing politics.🍻
Funny, I have taken my work truck for granted for the last 10 years and now find it a drag to try and work without this beast of a truck.
This truck had everything and then some. In fact, I would quite easily say it’s the best master craftsman truck Ford has ever built for an experienced master craftsman regardless of his chosen field if they are to be contractors.
I compare this truck’s harmony to Lynyrd Skynyrd, Freebird? https://youtu.be/QxIWDmmqZzY/ as that’s the way my mind often works.
This song sticks in my mind as I was at the Oakland Coliseum Stadium and thought, man, that song was working with creating perfect harmony!
What is a master craftsman? That’s a person whose team has harmony, imagination, and knowledge of tools and equipment and knows how to use these talents.
What’s a journeyman?
That a person who has time in well over the 4 years required in most trade to become a journeyman. That person should know what they are doing for basic repairs or building and the best truck for their ambitions and capabilities.
An apprentice is anyone who wants to learn any trade and is just starting out or is working already with a company and often goes to school for up to 4 years to acquire the static of a journeyman level.
An apprentice should have a pick-up truck to get around and carry all necessary tools to a job.
A small truck is all that’s necessary for an apprentice, laborer, or even homeowner, and yes, I’ve had many small trucks over the years to get me around for biding jobs and small stuff.
Obviously, the truck in this video is not for clubbing or cruising the strip. Instead, it’s seems engineered for a master craftsman’s work.
