Repair simple to severe cracking in stucco or plaster walls
Howdy everyone, this video explains how we correct large settlement structural cracks.
To repair cracks takes more time in than most folks realize. For example, in the early morning they are the largest and in the hot sun they are almost invisible. (Stucco walls expand and contract)
Some caulking has sand some don’t. Some caulking can’t be painted, so these must not be used for a painted stucco surface.

I work with rapid set for doing window installations but I do not have a certificate .
Hey super dude, I am certified to apply rapid set however I’m not sure anymore if certificates are required these days. I like new products and procedures so I go to most conventions. (Plus there’s usually free coffee) I went to a seminar at Westside building material located in Oakland, ca. where I got my certificate. Just now I went to home depots website and sure enough they carry Rapid Set 50 lb. Stucco Mix.
Thanks for watching and have a groovy day!

Jesus christ man, was the brickwork at the front done by the local blind school?
Hey Neil, I did that brickwork, just kidding!
Some folks like unusual looking brick and stone work shows imagination. I sort of agree though it could have been done a tiny bit more cosmetically appealing.
But one must agree it is different!
Thanks for the thoughts and have a groovy evening.

Hi, we have some cracks towards the roof of our house some water is getting into the garage, do we need to chip of the stucco or just go over it with pre mixed stucco, looks kinda bubbled.
Hi Brian king, I would suggest you apply caulking in the crack as this will allow the wall to expand and contract, plus bridge and waterproof the crack, Sikaflex makes a great caulking for this repair, It's not water clean up but well worth the extra efforts to apply.Best wishes and have a Fantastic New Year!Kirk Giordano’s DIY plastering tips
