My boss likes to soak his in brick acid lol.
WD40 before and after you wash your tools helps protect from dust 😛 carry two commons bricks or clay bricks (rough faced) stand your trowels up on edge so you don't damage your sharp and dull edge and compress to bricks against your trowels bottom and top use both arms to left right motions to abrasive the surface. always have used this technique if my labourers have rushed on and of a job with my tools and forgot too double scrub tools. its a pain with getting cold steel even caked up slightly with cement you need and ultra smooth surface to trowel and roll compo on and of the spot to wall if its dirty the trowel then use loose the 3 second slip that really helps with laying blocks.
Great videos Kirk
as a non plasterer im finding myself watching them all the time
