My son Jason and I are also participants in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program.
In the links below, Jason and I took the liberty of researching the best tools at the lowest cost used by us. This removes the guesswork for you out of buying plastering and other stucco tools.
At the same time, you can also buy your everyday supplies through Amazon too, whatever your needs are. 🤷♂️
Amazon delivers with Prime, right to your front door… makes a person downright lazy but happy. 👍
Plus, this helps support us a bit so we can keep making these teaching videos. Below are just some of the tools, hawks, and trowels we recommend through Amazon.

Bringing peace, love, and brotherhood back into plastering.🎭🏝🎆
Nice work. Thank you
Just like you say Kirk and Jason, the aggregate can be easily scraped when its dry to make it smoother. I prefer when I do patches for sign companies to make my patches a little extra rough then scrape them when they are showing dark because of heavy texture I can just scrape them down a bit and they match perfect.
Woot! Another great video!
Hey Kirk and Jason. I have a great idea for a video. I patch holes for sign companies. I use rapid set stucco for most of them but they only have one size texture. Could you show how to make a hot mix Diy with sand and cement that will dry in an hour or so with other textures. Just food for thought might be a great video to mix it up a little. Or say just mixes in general. like Lyme mix , sand, cement, calcium chloride. and bonding agent. Like different products you use to get it to dry fast for patchwork. Might get some great views. If you have some special formulations.
See You on the next One Bud !~!~!
Another great video, love watching an oldschool tradesmen doing his thing. Thanks Kirk and J
Lovely, followed on twitter as well lol
Another excellent show and tell from the masters…Thanks guys…who needs college when the professor sends us videos?
As always free information that is worth paying for. I did foundation repairs around a house that is under contract. The inspector said there were structural cracks etc. Actually it was the masonry coat over the block about 6-8 inches from the ground that over time stopped adhering to the waterproofing tar so I removed it, prepped it and did my best Kirk impersonation and redid it all and primed and painted it. I also took pictures before, during and after and kept pieces of the skim coat to show it was a shallow failure and not what he freaked out the buyer by stating in his report. It looks exactly like it never happened now.
THANK YOU for your generosity in sharing you talent and trade!
Keep 'em coming, always makes my day when you post "The Next One"!!!
man this is some high level craftsman knowledge, right there….
Horrible match, Kirk magical sponge floating and perfect match. It's easy when you know what you are doing.
Hey Kirk I’ve been watching your channel for years, dude do you ever age for god sake.
That's a basement? In bay area?
Hey Kirk love your videos good to see a new video! Quick question for matching the texture on this video why did you choose to go with a 20/30 (medium aggregate instead of doing a 30/30 (fine finish for the blending of the joints. Thanks again for responding I wish I could work for you ! Be safe wishing you nothin but the best!
Hi from the uk, great video kirk, love watching how you guys plaster and render compared to what we do over here.
I live in an old house and all my render goes to like a powder when you touch it so I went stuff this I went and got the Render glue the stuff you stick on before you put the render up I tipped a whole container into a spray bottle with a little bit of water sprayed it over my walls and let it soak right in and now my walls are hard as fuck again

Hi Kirk and Jason, You guys are awesome! Wanted to buy one of the trowels that you are using in your videos. The link on your website is pointing to a product that's not available. As far as I understand it's a bon tool curry 16×14.5 pool trowel model number 12-318. Looks like curry went out of business and I can't seem to find an alternative. Any suggestions?
@Kirk Giordano plastering Inc. Kirk, Jason, I spoke to Bon Tool, they said that Curry went out of business and that trowel is not available any more. Also, the link in your tools section for 12-904 points to a dead amazon link. Any suggestions of where I can find one?
Your son Jay needs to make more videos on his channel. 🙂
I almost had a stroke trying to read the title
Kirk thank you so much for sharing your experience, genius, and mastery of an ancient art. Just completed the stucco around my dormer window, and after watching many of your videos the pros, cons, and the reality of stucco is revealed to the lay renderer. Although, my experience is limited, my stucco work may last, if not, I can fix it. Kirk you explain your craft so well, you are an artist sir.
Hey Guys, have you plastered onto hemp concrete yet? ( youtu.be/cm23l_VLyp4 ) thought it was interesting
Hello Kirk, I just replaced a double door on a cinder block wall, do I have to put wire on the wood frame and also attached it to the block wall?
Thanks a lot you guys are amazing.
Hi Kirk! Anyone you can recommend in the LA/OC area?
The sponge float comes in very handy I use it on gypsum finish skim coat
Watching your videos is full of satisfaction and inspiration and 100% craftsman job – something rare this days! Thank you for them Mister Giordano.
