Installing stucco corners properly, they were all set wrong at first
Howdy guys and gals, this video explain how to apply new stucco to this project, the home owner hired a general contractor to install the lath. I installed new corners as the ones currently installed were not correct. We then applied two coats of stucco with a dash finish to match the surrounding plaster application.

The reason that the inspector passed that substandard mess, is all the good lathers are dead. No one knows how to do it anymore, same with wet plaster and ornamental. Very few people know how it is done…. and why is that guy using a pool trowel? Nice on the pebble dash.
Hi, The inspector who passed the lath didn't know that the corners and the ceiling wire were not proper. If your not in the trade it is difficult to know. And, yes there are many quality lathers around, just have to search them out. Many brilliant lathers work for companies or simply go unnoticed. As far as interior plaster, again I know many gifted guys at ornamental too. E-mail if you need any referrals. lastly, any trowel can be used if the wall gets a blown on dash finish.
Thanks, Kirk
most all inspectors check for water proofing and not for levels or pluming corners
i have my own company annd they never check for the quality
but i have a good lathers and they make a high quality lath
Hey Cagaya, how true, there are great inspectors out in the field, and some tired ones, as in all trades. I have met both. Sometime at the end of a ten hour day of applying plaster to a home I fall into the category of tired. But no matter how tired I have to maintain a clear level of integrity, or I will be back correcting something, or worse yet giving the wrong impression that I am incompetent contractor. Best wishes, brother. Kirk Giordano plastering
