Make a new sandy stucco finish, blending in new to existing stucco.
Hello, our friendly subscribers in this video showed stucco applications after it’s applied.
How to create a new sandy finish with stucco while blending in newly applied stucco to the existing stucco.
We used a sponge float to give the walls a sand finish or, as we often called it, a stucco float finish, as we were using a handheld sponge stucco float to bring out the sand.
We are applying both coats back to back, as we don’t mess around.
The most important thing with exterior stucco is the transition. If you know how to blend the new stucco into the original, you become a Jedi stucco master.

Hi Wayne Frazier, if it were me I would use a caulking, if it's a sandy wall which most are try the mor-flexx caulking, easy clean up and the sand in the caulking makes it match the majority of stucco finishes,
Cheers!

Wow great idea! Will definitely try. Thanks
Hey Wayne, it's the caulking I use when my stucco walls crack when and if my walls crack.

Might seem like a silly question: How do you get the sand finish? Do you add sand to the stucco?
You seem to use the words plaster and stucco interchangeably. Are they? Thanks.
I had some parging done, sand finish. I'm finding I have to sweep piles of sand after it rains. Is this normal? And will it eventually stop coming off?
