Can I apply stucco over T1-11 Wood Siding/ Yes?
Howdy, guys and gals, in this video, I try to explain what condition your T1-11 wood siding should be in to apply plaster over it.
Spongy, rotted, and or damaged areas should be replaced before the starting of lath. Lastly, it’s necessary to go to the permits office in your area and apply for the permits to change your exterior. It took the homeowner about 15 minutes once she was in her cities permits department to acquire the permit needed.

I would use acrylic finish,
And just wondering why not everyone use EIFS stucco ? With styrofoam machanicly fastened, and or glued on with back drain down marks, and use fiber glass mesh with basecoat , and acrylic finish ??
Happy New Year Olah, traditional stucco has been around for centuries, while acrylic's only about 70 years, is perhaps the reason.

How do i make sure the brown coat isn’t going to crack? any suggestions
Greetings, Delylah, make sure you staple into the studs when attaching the stucco netting, use a quality cement plaster.
Hydrate a few times when the stucco is setting, are the main ways.

Looks like shit
Gotta love the gratification one gets when the trowel cooperates! Love the videos Kirk! I’ve only repaired old world stucco, and recoated your videos do well to motivate us green horns. Also what do you think about foam trims around windows what are your thoughts?
a question what type of cement is applied to it when you have everything ready the wall with the paper and the wire mesh to apply the stucco gracias
Do you guys do any work in Los Ángeles?
Kirk, why didn’t you use a rod on this job? Rather than only a Darby? Had you cut off the excess cement and floated the wall truly level, around the vents and windows wouldn’t look so sloppy and inconsistent. Also, why not use a plastic color float? I’ve never had all the light spots you have on this job while floating color.
Did you remove the wood siding? Can you stucco over wood?
@Kirk Giordano plastering Inc. Thanks,,, Its okay to call me a Dirty Pimp. LOL
@Kirk Giordano plastering Inc. Ha Ha, Respect, and thanks again for response to my question. I have watched many of your videos, and they are all good.
Muy bueno tu trabajo gracias .
Love your video. You answered all my questions regarding stucco on T-111. You paid attention to detail. This is exactly what I'm looking for. However there seems to be one big issue. According to your website you are located in California. This may be great for west coast residents but not for me, as I live near Tampa Florida. Is there a company that you feel safe recommending to me to install the stucco overT-111 on the front face of my house in my neck of the woods? Thank you for a great informative video. Looking forward to a response.

Beautiful!
I wish you can do my exterior in Calgary, AB Canada. Vinyl is all damaged by hails. Nasty vinyl siding have holes all over the place. Need quality work.
Damn. That looks good.
How many layers of paper do you recommend? I have new milgard windows and don't need any problems.
Hi Kirk , may I know what materials and measure of each material you use , thank so much
It would look even better if the homeowners would add a foam shade products around the window great job Kirk and family
That foam not for everyone
@LJ No it's not, in fact, it makes many homes look too busy.

Video is great, I followed your steps, but somehow I still messed up. It's been about 5 days since scratch and brown and I noticed after I hose it, theres light water marks on the bottom of plywood (when I look on the other side of the wall) . Any suggestion on how to fill in these gaps (that I can't see).
Amazing work
Excellent videos. Thank you
As always- I look to the best in the buisiness to get my own best results. Thanks again, Kirk !
Wulfy
How long does it usually take to do something like this if you were to do it from start to finish? Let's say for a 1200 sq ft , 3000 sq ft lot
