Great to see how you put beads on kirk looks lovely whereyou were working ! Wasthe block work curved or was the blocklayer drunk ha! Kind regards nick
Howdy Nick, man, if I didn’t take the time to attach these corners the project would have taken me twice as long to stucco and the corners would not have been as strong.
The fella who built this wall was a real master craftsman, but I’m sure when he was done he has himself a few cold ones.
Have a good evening.

Hi Kirk, Do you ever use the Stucco (render in the UK) to stick the beads on?. Do you ever use plastic beads?
Cheers Arti
Howdy artisan dude, I am located in the US, the only time I go to the Uk is to visit, as far as the plastic beads, screed and corners. I used a few today on a stucco turret as I can't bend the galvanized drip screeds. This turret was a complete radius so the plastic saves time and works better. Otherwise I prefer metal.
Thanks for watching and have a great day!

So do you always nail them on or do you bead them on with the stucco?. You should put the vid up of the turret for us
Howdy Arti, I have embedded corner with just mud, but find it take too long, so I usually use concrete nails.
Funny you should mention the turret, we just lathed it yesterday. Man, the home owner redid the complete roof plus all the crown details so we were put off a few months. I'm sure if you bug Jason he will download it soon as he has about 20 to still upload.
Cheers!

Where can I find those magnets
Hi King dude, I bought them at Westside building materials in Oakland, but you can try bontools online. Just enter concrete 6 inch magnet.
Thanks for watching and have a nice day!

Hi Kirk…been watching your videos. Can you use these corners standalone? Or do you have to use Lath on the rest of the walls? will it blend? beginner here. We are sandblasting 1965 house to remove old paint and some type of skim over the block they attempted to apply. We hope t get down to porous block and maybe add a bonding agent for good measure. Then stucco scratch coat right over cinder block…these corners would help alot. Just wondering about the interface to no wire…do you just float it out without getting a big rounded corner look?
Howdy Sharon, yes I would advise just using the corners so that they are straight, on the walls I would not attach stucco netting or wire as this is counterproductive.
A natural mechanical bond is much stronger, pressure-wash the cinderblock well to remove all dust and grime, then hydrate properly, this means mist the wall with your garden hose, "Not dripping wet," just moist, apply your new cement stucco, the new stucco will adhere to bricks, cinder blocks or concrete by suction as they are porous.
Much stronger and a third the work as nailing wire to cinder or cement blocks.
Best wishes,

Plastering tips from your favorite stucco geeks
Thank You. As I am amateur mason in my backyard and my cinder block chimney corners are not perfect, this tip will straighten them up real good. Thank You Again.
Hi Kirk, I'm applying stucco to a wall that meets on an outside corner to a wall that has siding. How do I transition the corner from the stucco to the siding? Do they make a metal corner flashing that transitions from 7/8 to 1/2? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
@Kirk Giordano plastering Inc. Thanks, Kirk. Do you have a video that shows how to transition an outside corner?
