Color coating bad patches around windows.
Stucco patchwork and resurfacing bad and ugly stucco patchwork around newly installed windows and doors.
This video is about correcting or fixing bad and ugly stucco patchwork around newly installed windows and doors. Then when this is completed apply a new finish coat.
The previous stucco company applied Eisenwall hydraulic cement plaster, unfortunately.
Unfortunately, I say, as the strength of this hydraulic stucco is incredible.
In fact, one of the areas took over 7 hours to scrape down to re-stucco the mistake back together.
Hello all, the advantages or benefits of spreading a new stucco finish.
They are fifty times thicker than paint,
This is why stucco medium or heavy sand finishes cover/hide imperfections in existing stucco finishes and why painting enhances these flaws.
Below are a couple of videos that explain the entire stucco finishing process in detail.
Please, be our guest and view if you consider a color finish instead of painting!

Do you paint the stucco afterwards so that all the plaster matches in color? or will it dry to match without having to paint? Thanks. You make it looks easy. I enjoyed watching you fix another contractors failed job.
Good Evening Fellas, this home was to bepainted, Jason left out the part where we showed in fast motion how we skimmed the entire back wall as it was lost on one of his cameras. O well.
It´s truly difficult to match some finishes but this one was a heavy float or sand we did pretty good, the fact was some of the windows the original guy did were also on the money. I assumed he had different level guys and just left them,
not realizing the strength of the material he purchased, shit happens.
Peace, love, and happiness to all.

You’re the best Kirk! I’m a tile guy, but your trade tips are very relevant to me mudding walls, I watched closely on your video of the sample board of different finishes, dry green foam float allows me to rub down my wall immediately after I float, and absolutely no cracks, if the green float gets wet it brings TOO much sand out and I have to steel trowel it . I appreciate all you guys !
Howdy Charlie, thank you, my tile friend, plus when you float a wall now that stucco wall can breathe, thus fewer cracks. When we steel trowl walls they can´t breathe so as soon as they get wet, cracking occurs, normal stuff.
Peace love and happiness to all.

Hay Kirk, David from ECHOtape here. No, but we do have an online store at ECHOtape.com. I am in Hayward next week to open an account with L&W there and do sell to a few locations in Hayward and Benicia. We are launching a 30 day UV red poly that might finally get me into Westside Oakland. Will let you know soon. David.

I want to feather a flor area 4×5 on a shower flor angle it 1/4 -3/8 to the 0 .what product ,a d should I also use weldcrete .its a newly poured concrete, with the elongated drain, which is 1/4 in. Proud of concrete.
Evening Steven, they make specific products for that, but I would use Lahabras poly bond mixed with some sand let slack remix then apply, sticks to any surface forever without a bonding agent as it is a cementitious bonding cement used for adhering styrofoam. Used without sand it would crack like an egg and take to long to set. This is what I would use.
You may be better buying a product it the tile department that says it´s specifically designed for leveling or slopping.

@Andrews General contractors Good Evening guys, what we dont show always is perfection, but before we leave a job the owners see our best work or we dont get paid. Often it´s best to leave the stucco alone allow to set then come back and fix it.

That rapid set has an additive to add to it which can slow the drying time for 10 minutes to 45 minutes-an hour.
Howdy Lord Dude indeed it does, I buy the sister product Eisenwall at the plastering yards and always request the bags of retardant´s that comes with the bags. Each bag add roughly about 25 minutes to the workability of the cement plaster

Thankyou ,ill consider that next time .instead, I mixed a portion of weird Crete with Portland, L L an P.
Happy Easter Steven, never add any bonding agents to Portland cement as this dilutes the bonding agent, it will not work.
Instead, apply the bonding agent to the wall, allow to dry, then stucco away.

Awesome Kirk, so grateful for the advice, re interior lime veneering. It spidey cracked in many places on me and I put more on top but it instantly dried. So I scraped the new all off, and those cracks got sealed. lol So in the end all good and painting soon from your help, much obliged sir. 🙂 Boris
Happy Easter Boris, as a rule, one should wet the walls when applying more finish over an existing finish or the dry finish will indeed suck the moister out of the new finish instantly.
Next time mist or wet the existing walls with a spray bottle with water in it.

I had to do the same. Our windows were put in years ago, and did not match the original smooth finish AT ALL! I used bagged Quikcrete, but apparently the "aggregate,…or sand" was too fine. Wound up using the red box Quickcrete patch. It took me a looong time, but I think it came out nice. THANKS!!

Thanks for the chisel advice (I think it was a different video). The installer did not get the front window flush with the wall so there was a raised area all around it. I used my old air chisel and was able to knock out the raised areas and get the stucco patch flush with the frame.
Greetings Manuel, good thing you guy used regular cement plaster, it's about 1,600 PSI, the Rapid Set they used here is at least double that strength and then some when fully cured.

I would have rebrown with senthetic and mesh whole house , I’ve done that in last 15 years and never had a call back , all blended in
What do you mean by this? Do you have to take the old off or just complete over the old? I have a 25 year old house in florida and with all the old patch work, I'm not sure if just painting will hide all the work?
How would you keep windows in stucco plain without compromising sealed nail fin to house. Anderson casement windows have to be level and jambs within plain to latch correct. Same with provia multi point locking doors.they have to be literally perfectly plum level and in plain no matter what. Don't you guys have tricks to correct this? What area are you in? I'm Sacramento
Evening Dex, we don't install windows, we just apply stucco on complete homes or repair stucco. I'm in Oakland ca.
Try Ken Aberson plastering, Ken's in Sacramento also.

Hi Mr Kirk. I recently ran into some issues with a company I sub from. They are not paying the invoice on a couple jobs I've completed. Customer has payed the company but the company has not payed me. so I really dont want to go after the property. Have you ever had to put a lean on a home or file a complaint with the cslb? With your wisdom could you give me a word of advice?
Evening Cesar, no, I have not had to cross this nasty bridge. But I do screen out some guys I get bad vibes from, to try and eliminate these future hazards. My system is not perfect, but it's as good as I can get it. It's tough to be a judge of character, it's like trying to judge a book by it's cover.Sorry, brother, I would talk with the homeowner about the problem, let them know you may have to do a lien unless they get involved, they may have some clout that might help.
