Howdy ambitious subscribers, we’re sharing some learned knowledge about Interior plaster dash finishes, how to achieve them, how to refinish or match interior textures.

Folks texture on interior walls are endless, as back 50 to 150 years, plasterers relied on skills and imaginations to be creative.

I got lucky to be called to match something creative with this interior patchwork, but actually, it too was easy.

Drywall was invented where the UK, of course, between 1920 and 1930.
But, as usual, it made its way over here to the USA around 1950.
Most finishes were smooth or skip-troweled as they were easy ones to apply.

Before drywall became widely used, building interiors were made of plaster. For hundreds of years, walls and ceilings have been constructed by placing layers of wet plaster over thousands of wooden strips called laths.
