Caulk & patch cracks in cinder block walls
Hello everyone, this video explains how we correct large settlement structural cracks that occur in cinder block walls that have been stuccoed.
To repair cracks takes more time in than most folks realize. For example, in the early morning they are the largest and in the hot sun they are almost invisible. (Stucco walls expand and shrink) Some caulking has sand some don’t. Some caulking can’t be painted, so these must not be used for a painted stucco surface. Also I have caulked some walls and had the caulking shrink if the caulking is old. (Usually from sitting in warehouse or on shelf too long) Walls above 10 feet can seriously injure or cripple a fella if he falls from a ladder. The list goes on and on. It pays to hire a professional!
By the way folks you can purchase Mor-flex that has the sand in it and simply caulk and sponge if it’s a rough finish. I believe Silka-flex will start making their caulking with sand soon too. Please also see our web site at http://www.StuccoPlastering.com

Snorks are like underwater Smurfs.
I believe 'manipool' means, your head is underwater as to this repair.
.
Tho you did cut out the "fill and smoothing" process, something I wanted to see.
I've done this patch but always looking for a different, maybe better way to do it.
.
I usually place 2 fingers on both sides of the caulk tube nozzle to further deepen the caulks penetration.
.
Thanks for the video.

I may not have used the gracious words but that's what my intention was.
It's a shame there's dummkopfs in this world that has to degrade others.
My 2 finger caulk thing was just a return thanks to your video helping others.
OH!, (hand zoom overhead) I just got the Bond thing. I have a few user names and forgot till I seen what I used. (now snickering at myself)
Hey Floyd, no worries, Life should be fun and sometimes goofy, thanks for the comment.

I have chips on my cinder black wall from a leaky roof. Roof was repaired but now i need to know how to fix the chips. You mentioned acrylic with sand, do you mean paint? How did the sand get in the paint ? Was it bought that way or did you add it?
Hi COPYKATTZ , these acrylic’s are Dry –Vit, Carson’s coating, Parex, Stucco flex, Bmi, just to name a few, you can call the brands mentioned to purchase 5 gallon buckets of your choice of product. They are usually factory mixed in the buckets with color, sand, and acrylic to be used as a finish coat. Not over an eight inch thick.
Best wishes,

Give you cameraman a tissue will ya ? Did his mother never teach him to blow his nose?
Evening bonnyjishop, it could have been worse, it could have been me with the cold.
Cheers,

I'm always amused by first world problems.
Shouldn't you relieve some of that pressure from behind the wall ?
Hi Dave butler, I could have, however the 200 dollars I charged was not enough for this additional work, best wishes,Kirk & Jason Giordano's DIY plaster and stucco network
