Best way to match an existing stucco texture with a new texture
Howdy guys and gals, I received an e-mail from this guy asking if I could remove and re-stucco this slider. I informed him what he did was fine, just not finished. My son and I came out and applied the stucco texture to match the existing finish. It took us longer to drive to this home than to actually apply the texture. Please, feel free to e-mail me any pictures for immediate bids. Simply go to my web site, there is an e-mail me line for easy e-mailing. If I am too busy I will be happy to refer you to another stucco guy.

Best way to match an existing stucco texture with a new texture
Just about every house from the1970's here in San Diego,CA have this type of texture. I patched some stucco last September, and it took some practice and trial and error to get it just right. First I actually used the wrong product as I found out in one of your other videos – I used rapid set stucco mix to texture, but it came out too rough and grainy. I then tried Rapid Set Cement All that has little sand, and it came out smooth and matched the texture on the money. Live and learn I guess!
Hey bud, you have it right on the money (live and learn) How do you think I know the stuff I do? I have an extremely wild and healthy imagination, I have tried 20 ways to do every stucco and plastering repair over 30 years and have narrowed it down to what actually works the best. Plus all my time in many years ago while a Union plasterer and their mandatory classes of 4 years taught me a whole lot.
Nothing beats hands on practice.
Have a great day!
