Howdy all, on this Amazon page, you can buy not just the tools we use and recommend but anything your heart desires. Who doesn’t like getting stuff in the mail? 🎁💃

Jason and I took the liberty of researching the best tools at the lowest cost used by us. This removes the guesswork for you out of buying plastering and other stucco tools.
Amazon quickly provides this luxury. Usually, two-day delivery with Prime right to your front door… makes a person downright lazy but happy.

Plus, this helps support us a bit so we can keep making these teaching videos.

Keep in mind In all of our how-to show and tell videos, I explain in simple language that even my dear, old granddad can understand.😉
Our channel is like a teaching lab at a tech school for plastering.

Hello guys, in this video, In this window, stucco skim coat wrong texture repair. I promised to show how it’s installed, then the basecoat also applied that will be right below.
-https://youtu.be/pLa8O9npjVs/apply stucco to a newly installed window.

Big Tip for all while on our channel. You may also type in any question you may have on Stucco or Plastering, and like magic, a video will appear to explain or teach you how to DIY.
Then kick back, relax, and enjoy the show! 🍿
Oh yeah, don’t forget to save the world, like and subscribe. It’s not only good karma, but It also makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over. 💃🕺🏻 😉

Jason and I have also switched to new powerful, modern, and long-lasting all battery-operated Milwaukee tools for good reasons. Take the Dual Chemistry M18 Job-site Radio. For me, this is one of my favorite tools for any job site, http://amzn.to/3aVmD1T:
I plug my cell phone in the top, then listen commercial-free to my music all day. 😏🤔
We’ve also replaced our corded break-out tool for the Milwaukee M18 FUEL Rotary Hammer, https://amzn.to/3ecdjsy: As it was always a drag finding an outlet then unwinding and re-winding our 100-foot extension cords.

I love what you do and I'm not very knowledgeable about stucco. It seems like the edge between your beautiful stucco work and the owner's is super obvious. Will that go away when it dries and/or is painted? Thanks for sharing your knowledge. All the best!

Hi Kirk and Jason, what process would you recommend for cleaning dirt and grim off a heavy exterior cementitious stucco finish? (No patching or fixing just cleaning) Thank you!

      Pressure washing it.
Or like a pan that has burnt spaghetti from overcooking on the inner bottom.
You can scrub for an hour, or fill with water allow to set overnight, then easily remove the following day with a sponge.
      Exterior homes are similar.
Wait until a rainy day, allow the rain to soak/saturate the walls then use your garden hose with a spray nozzle set to the jet stream, this should remove most of the dirt, grime, and moss.
      Work smart, not hard.
      Cheers, my brother.

Thanks Kirk and family. Question: if a project isn’t going my way…how do I abort successfully without leaving a huge mess for myself or someone like you who has to come and fix the work. Again thanks. Need to do a bunch of windows in a mix of block and wood frame…

I worked behind a Tommy gun for years every part of one's body gets covered in stucco.
We had boots taped to our knees, shirts buttoned up to the neck scarfs that covered our complete head with hats.
We had to remove our glasses every 3 hours to clean to be able to see, after those years behind the pump, It got to be a drag getting filthy, so there you go.
I work for myself, no more spaying plaster unless I'm with my kids having fun getting filthy.

Evening Dino, no idea, I can only speak for myself.
I have never encountered a job that I didn't feel confident that I could not fix, Even 25 years ago. Does this mean I accept all jobs?
Not quite, there are those walls we call dash finishes, that are very common and beautiful all over the UK.
These, I can repair but choose not to take them as to find the various glasses, aggregates such as seashells like abalone and similar things can't be found anymore.
      Cheers.

I truly appreciate all these videos Kirk and team. I've looked for my answer but cannot seem to find it. I have a 1950s home with layers of stucco, paint, more stucco, and more paint – with top layers of paint and stucco now chipping off. Contractor A wants to sandblast down to the brown coat and restucco. Contractor B wants to power wash, then apply glue, fiberglass mesh, and then stucco. They seem like 2 very different approaches. What would you do?

    Hi Kirk,
I’ve been watching few of your videos — very impressive! I had a question, and thought you might have an answer to it. What would be the best material or materials to go over some ugly cinder blocks in the basement area— some material that would do well if moisture is present? Thank you!

@Kirk Giordano plastering Inc. Thanks for your response. I live in Maryland, and it doesn’t seem like there is anyone that carries that product. I’ll have to snoop around a bit more. Regardless, should the cinder blocks be quartz primed or anything like that before application? Also, does it usually need two coats or just one?
