Hello all, whether or not you have Stucco/Plastering or Rendering stucco Structural Problems and wish Plastering preservations to be following historic plaster restoration codes.
This stucco separating from old walls might answer some of your concerns.
Fact, all of the separating stucco on this stucco wall has occurred because of simple neglect of caulking. If you simply caulk every crack, that’s noticed. Even year, this kind of stucco separations can’t occur.
Think about that one hour a year to caulk all cracks on a stucco and tor wood home can save you a fortune in future repairs.
On the flip side, one who voids caulking cracks on stucco walls, especially up high where it’s tough to see, can expect the cracks to develop into larger ones yearly. Why?
The rainwater gets in the wood expands, the ants and termites move in for dinner the rest is a feast for bugs than when the rainwater seeps into the cracks and rots/destroys the wood, insulation, sheetrock start to yellow, carpets become damp which creates the mold which sickens entire families, and on and on…….🤔
Let’s face it, maintenance sucks, but avoiding it is ten times worse when you consider the short-term, let alone long term health and financial cost to repair.

Saw something I have not seen forever…course feasibly that old Redwood Forest attribute there in Cali??? Keyed Cedar…with concrete directly atop!!! I understand Kirk…in dealing with customers…why I follow the old school rule…remove as little as possible…meaning if its bad…get it off…if its not…leave it be!!!
A couple things Kirk…#1…why no flashing atop the skirt window wood??? I gather it is caulked but much as the weep screed…#2…personally to impeded said suction over keyed cedar…why didn;t ya just run the plaster weld on it..albeit made for concrete…as a bond it would have…not only keyed…but also a degree of seal waterproofing said wood as well??? No worries either way…simply asking…
#3 I just happened upon ya…as I have been laughing my day away…by that…I truly hope you didn't vote Cameltoe Joe Hiden China Biden…as this is what is coming..let alone killing the trade!!! Have a look…laughable…to have 4 inches on the floor!!!

I won;t make it Kirk…barely hanging on as it is…Biden opens up that border…already 540% increase since October in unaccompanied anchors…and the trades are gone…wages are hard to get working for someone as it is…and the consumer…clientel…they know not what must be done…simply as they look at the dollar figure…economic pocket…I ask myself how can one trust one whom they cannot even talk to…let alone comprehend??? Allowing them to work on your…2…3…4…5…6…pick up sticks after it crumbles…thousand dollar house…but you won't let em work on a 5-10-15-20 or higher thousand dollar car??? That border unmaintained…economy crashing from Ole Cameltoe China Hiden Biden…Commi Harris…I hope your pocket book is deep…California and all…Newsom…Pelousy…Crackhead Waters…No Nadsler…Swallwell…Jeesh…out here…we have Lickenpooper…Polis…whose name is befitting…heard he lost his drivers license??? Having to many rear ends!!! Anyway…said video …you already mentioned the suits…so I am AWARE…and one of these days…I'll get something up so you can pick me apart…if I somehow manage to find a bigger bucket…in order to get the water out of the sinking Viking longboat!!!
