Type of Stucco/Plaster/Render, what are the different type of Stucco/Plaster

FYI, Greencor USA is not the only one coat stucco in town. Buy Rapid-set stucco, Quickrete, or Sakrete one-coat stucco, or any other cement plasters that are available. 🍺

In this video, I’m helping out on my son Jasons' project for the day, As plastering is a two-man job, and His uncle, my brother Luuuu, wussed out, so I volunteered my skill. We explain while showing my newest and best cement plaster, hoping that my son Jason won’t have to go to HD and load his own bags anymore.

There are many types of Stucco/Plaster/Render available, what are the different type of Stucco/Plaster, our plastering channel show them all.
Materials yards, such as Westside, Cal-ply, ABC and Sacramento stucco, and more, stock up as this Green Core, USA, is a good product for homeowners as contractors prefer cement plasters that we can add our own sand.
It’s great for both coats over stucco netting with wood substrates, and all kinds of bricks, or CMU blocks or changing heavy textures into smooth as seen in this video,
Note, I did go over a heavy skip-towel texture.
I have been in this stucco trade for more than 40 years, and this is a cement plaster that kicks ass. It’s even easy for the average homeowner to use.
It’s fluffy or sort of like whipping cream, an exceptional cement plaster for all your needs. You just add water. Can it get any easier?

BIG NOTE: You may also type in any question you may have on your Stucco or Plastering issues on our channel, and like magic, a video will appear to explain how it’s done. Kick back, relax, and enjoy the show! 🍿
Oh yeah, don’t forget to save the world, like, and subscribe. It’s not only good karma, but It also makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over. 💃🕺🏻 😉

At the same time, you can also buy your everyday supplies through Amazon too, whatever your needs are. 🤷‍♂️  Amazon delivers with Prime, right to your front door… makes a person downright lazy but happy. 👍

I will be sleeping when this comes on, Oldman rise early rest early, the guy I worked with inside we use fine sand and lime, outside we also use lime and sand but larger grained. We even lay brick using large amounts of sand and lime , 20 sand 10 lime 1 cement mason cement , there was a pit 70 mile or so away and we would go get the sand here sometimes it had a red color to it and a larger agrigate. Oldman even make us grind that sand up to powder and he would tint the finish coat. Have a good one

I learned some stuff from you cement guys but honestly I am tearing all that crap out of my house, lot of work, Replacing it with wood custom done myself, I did do a custom cement wall made to look like stone as much as I could, I did my cellar, one problem I had was with a fire box I built out of cement and cinder block and that thing is all cracking all over, I figure I built it with the wrong cement or I just have to patch it up constantly.

Kirt and Jason, back in the 80's – 90's I to video my projects to give educational and fundamental information about product's benefits and benefits as a craftmanship, as a professional producer director editor doing local broadcasting network for Access Vision in Battle Creek Michigan. It was fun, now at times I take on small projects like stucco repair and plaster work that from time to time I need to review in order to satisfy my own needs to customers needs.. I still have my YouTube video accounts. It looks like your family are doing you justice in projecting the very best of quality you can do great job Kirt and Jason. Thank you again

I bought 20 bags of quickcrete from Home Depot last month and had them load it on my truck, I told them before I bought it they’d have to load it, they said sure…….it was like pulling teeth getting a guy up front to load it, they were super lazy.

    • Trogdor Burninator says

      November 1, 2020 at 1:37 am

They make concrete bags as large as feasible in order to save you ten cents on the packaging. The tradeoff is that you provide the labor, and the labor takes a lot of workplace injuries. For 20 bags? I'd rather have a tooth pulled, from a pain perspective. These guys are forbidden from tips, are paid nearly minimum wage, and often don't get health insurance.

If customers demand that they start stocking 20lb or 40lb bags instead of 60-80-94lb, loading gets a lot less painful. In the meantime, either covertly tip anybody that's willing to lift these generously, or hire your own laborer. Plenty of people do.

Awesome video as usual, señor! Material looks really nice. So if I wanted a super smooth finish on a heavy skip trowel, painted exterior surface, would I have to use weldcrete or could I use Lanco bonding agent before two coats of this greencore?

I've learned alot about stucco watching your videos. Stumbling across the video showing how to remove the stucco from the embedded lathe wire without destroying the lathe and underlayment paper using a demolition hammer was primo. I grabbed my air chisel instead because my arm and hand strength is not up to the level of a stucco/plaster tradesman such as yourself. That sika poly sealant is the bomb…an expensive bomb. This inflation is getting out of hand

Slag is pretty much silicate and metal oxides, the first can’t rust and the second is already rust. There shouldn’t be much more reduction to take place. I’m surprised it is pozzolalic at all though.

Kirk, (and J.) something like 15 years ago, I used an ultralite large tile format mortar on a a new wall, when I mixed too much. It literally spread like whipped butter (sanded whipped butter). It was white, waterproof, made the perfect texture, ws literally 2/3 the weight, cured hard, etc, etc. It's also lasted years of hard use in a bathroom too. Maybe this is similar? (maybe it's just old news…)

Hey Kirk hope all is well, I wanted to ask you, I have a new construction house I'm going to apply DeepFurred Chicken Wire/Scratch/Brown/Embedded Mesh Coat/ Smooth Coat, coming to total of thickness at 1Inch 1/4. Reason being so thick is to match the thickness at the joint of a tile being installed on half the house. Do you think there would be an unpleasant amount of cracking being so thick?

Kirk, Thanks for the reply. But, for some strange reason, our local lowes and home depot do not carry one stucco mix. No eisenwall eventhough they sell rapid set mortar, which i use often… and, no quikrete or sakrete stucco mix even though lowes stocks a large variety of sakrete products, and hd quikrete. Three manufacturers they carry, three manufacturers that have stucco products, and not a single one available for purchase. There are a ton of crumbling stucco houses from as early as the 20s here… and, not one place sells a stucco mix. Sad….

it's about the tip about the green car cuz I have a garage I was stuccoed and somebody did some patchwork on it that didn't turn out very good so I want to just kind of smooth it all up this summer I think I'll use that

@Kirk Giordano plastering Inc. thanks Kirk I love your videos you're definitely a man that knows what he's doing it's nice to get tips and pointers from a professional and not somebody that thinks they know what they're doing have a safe new year so I was going to use a bonding agent I was going to pressure wash my garage use a bonding agent and then use that stuff think that will work okay? I'm also going to paint it later so I'm not really interested in a color coat or anything just an amateur trying to make it look better is all
