Plaster or Stucco fence methods, using wood or CMU blocks, which would you prefer?

I thought the back of this wood fence would be an ideal spot to explain the dreaded cold joints and how to avoid them, so here it is, in this video titled stucco cold joint's with my explanation.😉

No, my friends and brothers, not Gonja joints, but instead stucco cold joints. Don’t allow cold joints in stucco. Gonja, that another story.🕺🏻

This stucco fence also allows privacy from neighbors’ views.
We decided to give it a sand stucco finish, explaining why that’s a good finish as sand or float finish blends into almost anything.
Remember to plaster corner to corner to avoid having a cold-joint.

This is the rear of a fence, but a cold-joint is reason enough to have to apply another color finish if it’s on the front of a home. As it will be noticeable where you last stopped with the brown coat, by weird color variations ghosting through.

NOTE: You may also type in any question you may have on Stucco/Plastering issues on our channel, and like magic, a video will appear to explain how it’s done. Then kick back, relax, and enjoy the show! 🍿
Oh yeah, don’t forget to save the world, like, and subscribe. It’s not only good karma, but It also makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over. 💃🕺🏻 😉

You can use the sponge float to bring out the aggregate, then let it set a bit then go over it with a moist steel trowel and you’ll have a stone like finish!

Hello, Kirk. My name is Nairi, I live in Russia. Your videos seems to me very interesting and I'd like to do translations (with a little sense of humour,
but without insults or something else, what you may not like) on them and upload it on YouTube on my channel. I don't have any channel yet, but I would like to start with this, because I know both English and Russian languages and I work as a civil engineer here, so I understand what are you talking about on your videos. So I want to ask you a permission to do that. Do you let me to work with your content?

Please, don't think that I want only to use you as a starting content for my channel, your videos are really good and there are a lot of tips, that I can hardly find on Russian YouTube, so I think it will be interesting for every Russian spoken, that is involved in construction sphere.

Kirk Giordano plastering Inc. thank you, I hope you realize I'm just kidding about the Williams references. I'm just amazed at how easy you make it look. I know you do brick and stone with stucco. In the town I live, they used to make cement block and one type was king of like chipped stone. If I sent a picture could you let me know if that could be replicated with stucco. Thank you again.

Thanks Kirk. Recoated with the bonding agent. I’ll send a pic when I am done. I’m getting better at mixing. Today it looked great until I RA a four foot level over it. I little too much. Easy peasy I shaved it off, long working time they should call it amateur mix. Going to top it with plaster of Paris. I have to find a place that carries lime plaster.
