Jason and I have over 850 original, educational, and free Youtube videos.🧘‍♀️
All by your favorite plaster geeks: me, and Jason, my son the bearded plasterer and video creator.
Below are just a few of our videos to give you an idea of who we are. You may also type in any question you may have on Stucco/Plastering issues on our channel, and like magic a video will appear to explain how it’s done. Then kick back, relax, and enjoy the show! 🍿
Oh yeah, don’t forget to save the world, like and subscribe. It’s not only good karma, but It also makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over. 💃🕺🏻 😉

My son Jason and I are also participants in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program.

With our Amazon affiliates links below, Jason and I took the liberty of researching the best tools at the lowest cost used by us. This removes the guesswork for you out of buying plastering and other stucco tools.
Amazon quickly provides this luxury. Usually, two day delivery with Prime right to your front door… makes a person downright lazy, but happy. 👍
Plus, this helps support us a bit so we can keep making these teaching videos. Below are just some of the tools, hawks, and trowels we recommend through Amazon – check out www.stuccoplastering.com/tools for all our recommendations.🎆🎁Remember, once on the Amazon page you can buy not just the tools we recommend but anything your heart desires.

BTW, I'm Jason, the beard behind the camera, and also a licensed contractor. My dad and I have switched to powerful, modern, and long-lasting all battery-operated Milwaukee tools for good reasons. Take the Dual Chemistry M18 Job-site Radio. For me, this is one of my favorite tools for any job site: http://amzn.to/3aVmD1T. I plug my cell phone in the top, then listen commercial-free to my music all day... or my dad's favorite artists. 😏🤔 We turn it off when filming. 🎥
We've also replaced our corded break out tool for the Milwaukee M18 FUEL Rotary Hammer: https://amzn.to/3ecdjsy. Here's a video about why we love it: -https://youtu.be/TdsGwupieXE
We exclusively use this battery-operated mortar drill - it's a drag searching for outlets, unrolling a hundred-foot extension cord, and winding it back up: https://amzn.to/2OzBxS0

Greetings Stevermer, Caliking confuses me too sometimes as there are literally hundreds.
I prefer the Sika-flex 1 A and Moiststop as both are professional construction type sealers with adhesives for our under stucco or wood moisture barrier preparations.
There are many other quality constrution sealants, but a person can only hold so much stuff in their head, plus if it works why change it.

Greetings Keven, no, I prefer those who installed originally to complete their end of the bargain, as it helps them big time with their future work to understand these details.
However, I did cut where all the sills and window frames were but up to the sheathing to install the paper underneath instead of on top as this allthough not my responsability could come back to haunt me.

As I was taught many years ago from a master carpenter, do it correctly or stay home. As they say, buy once and cry once, quality costs more money but it sure is worth the difference.
Kirk you always have such valuable information in your videos. If I was on that four story scaffold I’d be too scared to speak let alone make a video, lol. Stay safe my friend.

Greetings Clint Price dude, if it would have been many stories higher, it would have been more fun.
I sometimes grab the top frame with either arm and just hang often to test my strength, as you never know when working high.
My daughter loved this job as she is a climber, now Jason rock climbs and has swung off cliffs out hundreds of feet at least a half mile in the air, so he too had fun and made some dough, can't beat that.

Good evening Joe Shmoe, thank you, my brother.
I prefer to use the Sika 1A or Moiststop myself.
There are many other quality professional adhesive polyurethane construction sealants on the market, but why look further, when I use the products that have been time-tested to be superior.
I have used Alex and found it to be excellent on insides and it does wash clean super easy, try to use a box of sika 1A and stay clean.

Looks like the roofer should of just fabricated metal flashings on all the pop outs.. "get rid" "of the torch down ..Then counter flashing with a high end SA. It looks like a wast time for the roofer to use this method and adding liability by trying to roof those in .. imho 🙂 Or option 2: use a heat welded single ply membrane with clad metal.

    Hello Kirk
Your tutorial on flashing and counterflashing is excellent. The work area is very busy. A novice like me would get a better understanding in a less congested area, showing how the pieces fit in there proper place. I appreciate your time and education. The message is crystal clear. I understand the reference, I did not get exactly how it all fit.. Thanks Kirk. Keep up the good work.
