Incredible and beautiful images of dash finished stucco

In this video, my son Jason and my daughter Madeleine are hands dashing the front of this spectacular home in San Fransisco, mid you, Stucco/Plastering Dash coting is a dirty business.
You can call what we’re doing, Re-Plastering a Facade, front or face all mean the same thing.
The fact is we are hand-throwing a stucco dash to match the original finish that was done 100 years prior.
Could I have used a matching to blow the stucco dash mud on, yes? However, I like to throw it on, less mess.

TIP: You may also type in any question you may have on Stucco/Plastering issues on our channel, and like magic, a video will appear to explain how it’s done. Then kick back, relax, and enjoy the show! 🍿
Oh yeah, don’t forget to save the world, like and subscribe. It’s not only good karma, but It also makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over. 💃🕺🏻 😉

Amazon quickly provides this luxury. Usually, two day delivery with Prime right to your front door… makes a person downright lazy but happy. 👍
Plus, this helps support us a bit so we can keep making these teaching videos. Below are just some of the tools, hawks, and trowels we recommend through Amazon – check out www.stuccoplastering.com/tools for all our recommendations.🎆

Howdy James dude, if the scaffold is set properly you should feel as sound as if your walking on concrete, this staging was built extremely well by obvious professionals.
On another note, once up there and working you will get distracted from fears and instead focus on what you are up there to do.

Howdy guys, close but no cigar, the upcoming video's will expalin why.
I really don't work for mere money anymore although it helps.
I took this project on to explain some details that made San Fransisco famose. thats the magnifacent facades of many of the structures and how they were built. these videos will be posted later as I have been asked about 40 times how woud I match a certain design, when the video's are ready that question will be answered.
I work usueally on projects I can contiue to show the methods that have taken me a lifetime to learn, I relly enjy this filty trade and like showing others how it's completed.

Morning Duck Dude, as she is a Marine biologist, she worked in all the aquariums form Monetary to S.F bay aquariums feeding sharks in the tanks with them.
In fact, for earning extra dough, she would clean barnacles off the boats harbored in the S.F. Bay.
Madeleine was earning more than most men as they were paid by the boat, not the hour.
Madele would often come home saying how easy and fun it was to earn money, that she could scuba dive to do.
She's blessed with being tough as nails, naturally.

Howdy John, it's been over 30 years since we used to plaster swimming pools, I have no up to date knowledge of the materials now preferred.
If it were me I'd think I'd have used the same materials as this job, BMI's 690 reinforced fiber cement plaster, then an acrylic elastomeric colored finish coat by Stuco-Flex.
Again I have not plasterered a pool in over 30 yeras.

Howdy Isaac, we come aboard with some interesting challenges to work with, but nothing we couldn't handle.
The contours were my main reason for taking on this projects as normally we can't work in S.F. unless we want to spend on average 4 hours getting to and from.
That dammed bridge that was paid for 50 years prior, of course when we were crossing they had a terminal closed, instead of allowing all cars to go through uncharged, they blocked this terminal off creating a bottleneck that cost perhaps a million hours daily from all the travelers had to wait because.
The contours and how they were originally made and how they were replicated will be in a separate video.

Hi Curt love your videos. I have a question, I need to put about two inches of stacco, is it ok to apply the two inches in one coat?

Howdy Manuel, this can be done using Rapid set stucco, If it were me I'd apply one coat about an inch thick wait at least ten to fifteen minutes for the paper to suck up the excess moisture then apply your second coat.
The weather plays a factor if you're applying 1 inch to 6 inches too.

Good evening Death Merchant, you might say I'm retired right now as I'm taking a month and a half off now as I respond from a clinic, to deal with an illness that has been kicking my arse for the last 3 years.

    Kirk,
My Wife and I enjoy watching you videos. We have had some damage to our building and were hoping you could give your opinion on the condition of our building after the City demolished our buildings footers with a machine mounted jack-hammer.
After the footers were destroyed we discovered cracks appearing on the wall where the jack-hammer was used. We never had any cracks like these before the damage was done to our foundation. Our concern is that the substrate for the stucco has been compromised by the racking of the building during the jack-hammer assault. Kinetic energy was transferred though the building as a result of the jack-hammer. The question is. How do repair this damage permanently? many have said that because the substrate has been damaged / compromised, the only repair that would be appropriate would be to completely strip the wall down to the wood and rec-construct the stucco. Their are parts of the building that need patching that are not related to the jack-hammer indecent. My question is focused on the wall that had the foundation jack-hammered out from under it. Below is a video of the how the wall was compromised.

Also here are images of the fractures that appeared after the foundation was destroyed.

Thank you for all the informative videos. I look forward to any comments / suggestions you may have.

Evening Kieth, in my humble opinion, this is normal and of little consequence to the integrity of the stucco,
All stucco and or cementitious substrate will hairline with vibration.
Most homes will also crack with months of rain as the rainwater as this lifts a home then where dryer conditions occur the home settles, hence cracking.
I have done many video's explaining in detail why stucco cracks.
Your cracks should be filled with Mor-flexx caulking as it has sand in each tube.
Sorry for the late response but I answer when received.
