My son Jason and I are also participants in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program.

With our Amazon affiliates links below, Jason and I took the liberty of researching the best tools at the lowest cost used by us. This removes the guesswork for you out of buying plastering and other stucco tools.
Amazon quickly provides this luxury. Usually, two day delivery with Prime right to your front door… makes a person downright lazy, but happy. 👍
Plus, this helps support us a bit so we can keep making these teaching videos. Below are just some of the tools, hawks, and trowels we recommend through Amazon – check out www.stuccoplastering.com/tools for all our recommendations.🎆🎁Remember, once on the Amazon page you can buy not just the tools we recommend but anything your heart desires.

BTW, I'm Jason, the beard behind the camera, and also a licensed contractor. My dad and I have switched to powerful, modern, and long-lasting all battery-operated Milwaukee tools for good reasons. Take the Dual Chemistry M18 Job-site Radio. For me, this is one of my favorite tools for any job site: http://amzn.to/3aVmD1T. I plug my cell phone in the top, then listen commercial-free to my music all day... or my dad's favorite artists. 😏🤔 We turn it off when filming. 🎥
We've also replaced our corded break out tool for the Milwaukee M18 FUEL Rotary Hammer: https://amzn.to/3ecdjsy. Here's a video about why we love it: -https://youtu.be/TdsGwupieXE
We exclusively use this battery-operated mortar drill - it's a drag searching for outlets, unrolling a hundred-foot extension cord, and winding it back up: https://amzn.to/2OzBxS0

do you use Porland Plastic Cement or just portland cement bags?

Howdy Aaron, we used eisenwall, this cement plaster is only sold at professional material yards such as Westside building Materials.
You can buy a more user friendly material made by the same company at Home Depot or Lowe's called Rapid Set.
A person using this product only has to add water.
Just don't mix ANY same day material more than 3 to 5 minutes.
When using Eisenwall, we add sand and water to it.
      Best wishes,

Haven't seen Louuu in awhile. When you said you were working with same day material, I had a feeling that mud was hard before you stuck the trowel in it. Nice work as always.

exzakory, were only as good as what we have to work with.
we did not do the framing or lath.
I did infact apply a bit of bonding agent with mud and doctored up the corner a bit more as the wall was a s crooked as a dog's hind leg.
We were running and didn't have time to add this 5 minute fix.
      Cheers

that corner looks so bad.. try floating up your corners into a straight edge with a hard float and eye ball it,it will work better than just putting on a bead without putting a spirit level on it

Exzackory, this video is for a reason, we're only as good as what we have to work with especially if the city says thumbs up, ready to rock and roll.
We did not do the demolition or install the lath, but then again I'm certain the carpenters did the best they could with what they had to work with.
I was called for the stucco.
Have you ever told a homeowner they needed to replace an entire wall in order to put it back together proper.

Exzackery, were only as good as what we have to work with.
Especially if another fella does the paper and wire and is signed off by the city.
      Cheers.

Thank you Alan, were only as good as what we have to work with, the framing and lath, Paper and wire were completed by another.
I can only advise a different route, this different rout was not accepted.
This video is great to point out sometimes we are handcuffed to another preparations.
We did however pull a bit more of the bow out before we left.

Nice quick video there Kirk thankyou on the corner, wonder if you could show the finish float a little more. Its this final professional glass interior wall finish that I have most difficulty with. I can get plumb and straight but perfectly smooth still eludes me.I'm a handyman in Sydney 15 years and want to get to a level where I can add a perfect plaster finish to the skills I can advertise for. Cheers from Sydney Love your work Kirk and family

Howdy Frank perhaps this video below will help a bit, to get walls smooth takes practice and using super straight trowels, with some gypsums a lot of troweling is sometimes necessary for those that are not very skilled also a swimming pool trowel makes it easier to not have the trowel marks left by DIY' ers.
