Plaster Hod Carrying and or plaster tender, not as fun as a bar tender

Plaster Hod Carrying and or plaster tender, not as fun as a bar tender
A plaster tender brings us plasterers the mud while a bartender brings us the beer : -)
Big Luu and hod carrying.

In this vide, I forgot to mention, what’s the point of a Hod, say, for example Big Luuu brought us up about 80 buckets using his arms when we scratched this jobs, these buckets can pull your shoulders out of joints and pinch all you spine muscles, and often do.

Experience with a Hod which now the weight sets on the large trapezius muscle top of your shoulder next to your ears is close to the center of gravity, in carrying heavy loads for many years it really helps learn, understand and remember this important fact.
Always try and work with perfect posture.

One of the great action martial arts film actors dude, John Claude Van Damme, taught me this as he was often quoted as saying learn to walk with perfect posture for longevity and core strength.

Again to clarify as it’s important for you young workers in all trades, one way of bringing buckets of mud to plasterers beats up your spine and sockets while another way (A Hod) is actually a great workout and strengthen the entire core and adds to muscle and strength building.

I can go into great detail as I always preferred the hod and the when I was plaster tender, but another example of the hurt that can be done to your body, go into a Chiropractor’s office you see pictures of plasterers on the walls, as guys who sometimes tweek our spines.

The idea of great longevity in any trade is common sense mixed with good posture, a Hod helps this while buckets do the opposite.

So to all you ambitious plastering dude’s and or ladies, who are interested in Hod Carrying and or plaster tending.
plaster tending is mixing and bring plasterers mud to spread,
Bartending is bringing us plasterers alcohol to drink after spreading mud all day.

Have other real question’s about stucco or plastering issues, watch any of our 600 stucco and or plastering video’s on this channel to answer all your stucco questions?
The biggest challenge is typing in the keyword that is necessary to not spin your wheels seeking the answer.
We try and keyword properly, but were stucco dudes, and most folks are not sure of proper terminology for what they seek.
We do try and make your search as easy and efficient as possible, anyway wording tips let us know.
I usually go into details about tools and their use, plus explain and show a variety of useful plastering tips.
With a small bit of attention you can and will save cash, create a sense of euphoria and sleep well knowing, no problemo, I did this repair myself.
Save cash, great workout, sense of accomplishment, what more in life does a righteous person desire?

Old Kirk says, material knowledge is 70% of being a well rounded plasterer,
The other 30% is application.

For more quality products that I have been using, showing and recommending in our videos they have stood the test of time say for more than 20 years, (most of them anyway) the magazine below caters to these products, plus they have a really cool cover page at least for the January 2016 addition.
Don’t guess with your biggest investment purchace products that last longer than old kirk.

I've heard this term around the jobsite; I always thought it was "hottie" and now I know it's "hoddie". (We spray fireproofing and that's what we call the guy running the pump.) Thanks, your vids are great.

As much complaining as I get from the journeymen on my crew about a HOD I really do not see what the complaining is about of course I don't use a HOD synthetic stucco mud is a completely different type of mud and will stick to everything it touches but either way I'm sure they are looking for every reason in the world to treat their labor or like ever loving crap because that's what the Forman does to them btw I enjoy the videos I have learned a lot about my job by what you have shown me
