Evening peter,  you're right as usual. The wood sheathing in the direct sunlight on a hot day will expand when the sun beats down on the wall, thus, pushing upon the stucco so slightly that it can't be measured by eye,  the stucco will bulge  causing the slightest hairlines, this is natural and quite common. On the opposite side of this home that's in the shade all day, no hairline cracking as no heat on the wall, simple stuff most folks don't understand. I rarely mention this fact as I assume folks know this truth. Quality Elastomeric Stucco primer and paint systems will bridge these cracks easily. I here from the majority of General Contractors in the past 25 years that theKelly Moore Elastomeric Stucco primer and paint system is one of the best. Best wishes,Kirk & Jason Giordano's DIY plastering and stucco network

Morning Peter, just trying to avoid the blame game as it's too simple to point the finger at someone else. Cracks in stucco and or concrete it is not always as it appears. Thanks for watching and have a great day! Kirk & Jason Giordano's DIY plastering and stucco network

Morning Peter, exactly, sometimes the house has other idea's as to what it will do, no amount of cement, plaster or concrete will stop a 100 ton structure from movement weather from the sun or ground settling. Best wishes,Kirk & Jason Giordano's DIY plastering and stucco network
