Stucco Installation, Stucco Tips for new homes by the experts,
Kirk giordano and Jerry Pozo, together we have some time in.

Hello everyone in this introduction video I decided to do something different.
Show a project way in advance with the hopes of adding some clarity to some tips on Stucco Installation, these tips are for general contractor new to stucco or to new DIY homeowners who will be supervising the construction of their new stucco house.

Jerry Pozo has been a leader in the technical and specification department for over 30 plus years he has a long history as a former Dry-Vit representative for many years and currently works for the Sika corporation who bought out Bmi products, today like always, Jerry Poza travels the country educating folks., about the plastering industry.

BMI products and stucco systems somehow lured him away from his previous employment and acquired a real asset with this knowledgeable and gifted speaker.

Jerry is the man I call when I need sound advice on intricate matters that are most times not found of Google.
Ol Jerry Pozo travels the country giving lectures in regards about the do’s and don’ts of anything to do with the majority of stucco systems weather they are cementitious and or acrylics as well as their popular line of 690 base coat products which can come in silos for big job or theirs portable mixers for DIY homeowner projects.

These topics are just the tip of the iceberg of his wide rang of plastering knowledge.

You may contact Jerry at (408) 595-2031 or jpozo@bmi-products.com

Evening f0rumrr, no worries, we will as there are certain procedures that deserve explaining while demonstrating as the average general contractor or home owners may find intriguing. Most homeowners won't find it interesting unless they are in the market for the best plastering system out there and consider themselves homeowner builders. These few can witness how it is applied, as unfortunately some plastering contractors have no clue. Really! Being a licensed Plastering contractor I'm responsible for my choice in materials, I at this point in my business know what most materials can do and what they can't and how to properly apply the one's I choose. Best wishes,Kirk & Jason Giordano's DIY plastering channel

Evening Peter Agostini ol buddy, a silo is usually for the base coat of plaster, just press a button and the silo mixes the plaster and water perfectly every time.We place the wheel barrel under it press the button it fills with cement plaster we apply it.The BMI 690 usually has a cure time of 10 days, it amazing stuff for a stucco system.Strong, water resistant fast and easy, plus it gives us a really good workout, without going to the gym.Best wishes,Kirk & Jason Giordano's DIY plastering channel

Big fan of your work, kirk! I wish i had some REAL experience in Stucco or Rendering in general! I studied Solid Plastering for 3 years when i left school at 15 and i'm still doing it now. I am 24 now but i'm only doing Interior plastering. It would be great to work outdoors in the summer! Unfortunately we only spent a day or 2 at college learning how to do a scratch coat, brown coat, then pebble dash on top of that…The rest was just skimming walls really..

Hello goldenalex, technically you have your wish, if you are applying plaster inside you have already learned the hand eye coordination to apply any plaster or stucco,
If you can spread tapping mud you can apply all interiors plasters as well as all exterior cement plasters.
Plus you are a young dude, you never know where you will find yourself next year especially as you seem ambition enough to want to learn, when the opportunity presents itself I'm sure you'll recognize it.
I just told my 24 year old daughter last week,  "don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it"
My daughter Madeleine is in Spain right now, and had similar thoughts as to what you're describing.
       Best wishes,
