Those spiders will get to ya man hah. Great job as always. Got a couple of questions if you don't mind answering. Down here in the Los Angeles area we (at least not us) don't usually caulk the side of the windows unless there's a specific reason to (molding, type of window, etc) and the inspector has never failed us for it. Is that just a rule up there in SF? Also noticed you guys didn't attach any corners. Any specific reason for that?
Good evening A R Diaz, I’m a wuss for spiders, but only if they fall on me unexpectedly.
Over here in the bay area we have to fuse the paper to what ever farms is next to it.
If we get 30 days of rain and a home owner used a cheap and worthless paint the water can slowly get in. If it keeps this up for 8 to 15 seasons. There may be wood rot, then termites then ants eating the dead termites, then moldy Sheetrock and lastly Kirk getting yelled at 15 years later.

How's the interior plastering going, still applying the structo-lite base coat and finish coats?

Hey Peter, excellent question, they are too wide to be effective. I tried the 2 and 3 inch bits they simply don't work, the half inch is perfect, of course the spike bit is useless also for our purposes as it leaves to many indents in the paper.
Thanks for watching and have a great day!

Hi Kirk, Love watching these vids. Even though plastering is very different here In Australia I still enjoy watching your uploads. You do alot of metal lath work, we dont have anything like that. its just rendering with acrylic outside or lime set inside.
Just curious, How much would a subbie plasterer earn in the US these days? seems the economy is really picking up everywhere, we can earn some proper doe soon.
ps, down under we get proper spiders that kill you!! not the lame ones you get in the US. :))
Good evening ciad dais from Australia, out here currently were still is the so called rescission were not really in. it's been about 5 years now thats works is sort of slow, it is picking up now towards the end of the year as rain is coming. Union plasterers's are making about 40,000 a year if there is work, allot of real good union boy's I know are still at the hall unfortunately, waiting and hoping to go back to work soon.
Thanks for watching and have a good evening.

Evening again ciad dais, truth be told, that bug that dropped in on me to say "howdy" was the size of a small flee, but at the time it flashed through my mind it was a tarantula spider with 3 inch fangs, "oops" that's the kind of stuff that son of mine is supposed to edit out!
Thanks for watching and have a groovy evening.

9:45 has to be one of the funniest reactions ever! I'm still laughin. I'd have stuff like that happen to me all the time when I was in the trade. Hilarious stuff Kirk. Best thing your son did was not edit that part out. Great great vid! Keep 'em coming!

GREAT job Mr Giordano what happened
Hey Gil Velazquez, o that, a spider the size of a tarantula on steroids jumped on me ready to suck the life from me, the site of this baseball sized spider temporarily scared me.
O.K. it was the size of a fly, but there was a bigger one up there eyeballing me.
Cheers!

THANK for the tip on how to put the wire I didn't know that I thought you could set the wire either way Thanks again MR. GIORDANO AND JASON
Hi Gil Velazquez, nope, it sets on the wall one way, however I have seen it set the other way about a hundred times, I simply use my hammer to pull it out a bit further so most of the wire stays off the wall a bit, If the stucco netting is too flat, the stucco first coat has a tendency to slide, plus it can crack easier in the future with less vibration or movement.
Best wishes,

Delete that part out!! Haha!! He was freaked!
Greetings Space-Time Dude, it was a bit embarrassing being scared of an itty bitty bug, but at the time it appeared to have fangs three inches long, man, I do have wild imagination at times.

Hey Kirk, do you have any videos putting paper over pipes and vents? Pipes are usually my main concern. I’m learning how to lath and right now I’m currently learning how to put paper.
