What is a Stucco Turret

May 23, 2013 By Stucco Plastering 8 Comments

What is a Stucco Turret? type in “Applying Pebble Dash finish on a stucco turret” to see how we applied the stucco to this project.

Howdy folks, in this video I simply explain what a turret is and when it’s time to say, let’s start from scratch. This home is about 130 years old and has gotten beat up at the very top as it’s extremely tough to do a regular maintenance painting without setting the entire home with staging. I also videoed it so when we actually start the work you can see what we started with and how we go about fixing it and applying the heavy dash finish. We’ll give a better show when we do the actual stucco finish work.

Hi Harles, that the idea, we are going to waterproof it, then after the city signs off our lath inspection, we are going to apply both coats with about 2 to 3 hand thrown on dash finishes, should be fun for me since I don't have the task of getting the buckets up to this level.
Thanks for watching and have great day!

Hi Peter, the stucco turret is already been removed, the home owner is now installing the radius decorative crown moldings and fascia boards, and new roofing flashing, prior to us coming in.
We are only doing the lath and plastering on this turret.
    Have a great day!
