Awesome video. Some day I will do some diy applicator stuff and feel confident because I learned from the pro's. I been watchin all your videos dudes keep it up. And I agree with some of the other commenters I wouldnt mind seeing the raw footage of the the whole job.

You could set up an HD camera angled towards a wall and just briefly describe what you're doing and go to town!

Hi TehBerbDean, Jason and I feel a situation with what you ask is a long video.
I would gladly do an hour video of what I have to do, anyway.
But I might bore the crap out of folks. I will run it by my son, if he agrees to just set up the camera on a tri pod, what would you like to see completed?
Best wishes, and thanks for the comment.

Thanks for the comment Dean. We will try to give you a video like this soon, but there are certain technical limitations with the equipment we use.

My camera cannot film longer than 12 minute clips. This is a limitation put on it by the manufacturer and I cant, or don't know how, to overcome it. Even if I could, the memory space required to film the entirety of a project like this (which took a few hours all told) is huge. Far larger than the largest SD card I could buy.

I will try to get you some videos that show more time overall of the projects, with this video we definitely could have had more time showing him spreading, but we were trying to keep it brief as there are many videos of him spreading mud.

Either way, thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!

Hi Peter, Jason has mixed his share of flex-bond. Next time we mix this product, I'll try and work Jason’s camera so we can show you how we do it.
Best wishes and have a great day!

Hey Peter, the list goes on and on, as fast as we learn new systems more come along. 30 years ago it was just a few traditional stucco systems. But times change and new materials and their application technique’s come along.
Fortunately I love the new stuff too.
Best wishes with your plastering projects.

Is't that the truth Kirk got to love what you do..

    Funny side note
This guy as a kid got into a bag on concrete as a kid was covered in it , went home mom an her friend whom was a big concrete contractor was there . Mom said go take a bath!! , Only had thoughts of hardening solid as a brick ( Age 6) as I knew water r was what was what made the magic happen. Well this kind lady assured me I would be fine . LOL Times sure have changed Kirk but learning is great. Best Pete

Kirk. I am about to redo my small walk in shower and would like to use a plaster technique to do so to creat a nice white Venetian look. Do you have any videos for something like this using standard products?

wow. Thank you sir. My wife is highly allergic to mold so that's out. One more question. I have done a bunch of concrete countertops with very good success. I thought about doing a precast for the shower walls in the same manner then sealing them up. Would this still inhibit mold in the same way?
      Thanks again.

Good morning Matt, excellent question, I have also done a couple countertops and had to seal them, which is a maintenance type of adventure, so I would not recommend that option either, sorry, but remember your house your rules or option, these are my learned the hard way opinions,
FYI my granite countertops cannot be penetrated my water thus no molding.
At the risk of putting myself out of work, go with any type of tile that does not allow water in the walls.

@Kirk Giordano plastering Inc. Add 1/3 C per gallon of water when mixing lime plaster to stop mold growth. Love your videos!

    Great work!
How long do you leave the base coat to dry? Is it completely dry?
Is it left with a texture for the following coats to adhere?
