stucco Weep or Drip screeds below grade

Howdy all you DIY guys and gals, in this video I explain, wow to install Weep or Drip screeds below grade. We compromise the new codes stucco rules of a six inch ground clearance. When I say new rules, these rules were passed in 1975 I believe. A fella like me can do this type of fix on an existing home, it would not be allowed on a newly built home.

it's not your fault, you're just trying to stucco a badly made wall. water will hit the concrete and run under the flashing and soak the plywood.

Howdy deezynar, the home owner did tell me he was going to tear all the concrete out because it was above grade. What I did was seat the screed in a few tubes of sikaflex polyurethane caulking so when the water does penetrate the concrete it will have to get past this caulking first. We do the best we can with what we have to work with.
Best wishes and have a great day!

Do you stucco over the screed after it’s installed in place?
