Deteriorated paper on an existing stucco wall

Howdy all you DIY guys and gals, in this video we explain How to weather proof as best as possible a stucco tie in with existing deteriorated paper.
All a person can do is the best with what paper is available. I have been telling folks for years, if you wish a proper guarantee of water proofing for any wall with paper that is deteriorated you should consider removing the entire wall.

Good morning Miguel Ek Avilez, yes, on a window that has it’s flashing paper on the sill, place you’re new paper under it.
Miguel, If you copy and paste in our home page search engine the title below,
How to lath a Marvin window.
It will show and explain through video how we do it.

Hey Miguel, I usually tie my wire in at least three inch overlap. You can go much more if you want also.
However, I don’t always have the luxury of over lapping this much in fact sometime we don’t even get a half inch, but we have to work with we have available on some jobs.

Hi Kirk, when do you need to have an inspection? Does it vary by county? I'm just curious.

Howdy Jock Dude, it all depends and yes different cities different rules let alone go to different states. If you have a wood home and wish stucco a permit is required, if you change windows you don't, unless your changing or moving headers. Foundation repairs that involve stucco break out also requires stucco, I would suggest if you not certain call your local city permits department. Thank you very much. I should have said that I am in the UK, a therapist and follower of your videos. I am just trying to understand how things work in the US. Thanks again.

Howdy Jock Dude, you must be extremely busy if your food and drink are as fake as ours in this country. As a rule fake food, crazy thoughts. FYI, in the UK, stucco has been used for thousands of years here in the U.S. about 200 years so the food for thought is in your backyard.
