Proper Stair flashing where stairs meet a stucco wall

Hello everyone, I did not install the flashing on these stairs, I am simply explaining what a nice job James Loera has done. You may reach him at (707) 322-3620, or E-mail him at jamesloera@yahoo.com. Notice he soldered all his seams. If you caulk these it’s not a matter of if they will leak but when they will. Notice how James’s stair flashing should be installed where the stairs meet the stucco walls. If you are going to have tile set on steps, this is a must do, the waterproof membrane can now be done. Then a mesh wire prior to application of thin set. Of course you can also do concrete a as long as the membrane is laid out first.
Remember after the membrane is applied, (usually a peal and stick) a person would now be ready for or concrete or tile work.

I worked for Life Deck Pacific Pebbles! In San Diego. I have waterproofed hundreds of decks and staircase's. NOT ONE HAS FAILED ON ME WHILE USING VULCOM 116 CAULK ON ALL MY SEAMS. I'LL EVEN THROW IN SOME FIBERGLASS MESH IF NEED TO.. PREP IS KEY TO ALL OF THIS AND KEEPING IT TIGHT LIKE A VIRGIN!
