Fasten two ply paper over tyvek homewrap, Waterproof for stucco
Howdy guys and gals, in this video we explain how to install 2 more moister barriers on top of a tyvek home wrap, water resistant stucco barrio. We don’t need 3 layer in California but it’s just as easy to add the 2 as one as they are spot glued together. When you use tyvek stucco wrap the additional layers it we installed actually gives the house a naturally occurring rain screen.

Defective stucco can cause water intrusion in walls, which leads to mold.

Fasten two ply paper over tyvek homewrap, Waterproof for stucco
Hello Mr. Giordano and family, First, thanks for all the great and informative/instructional stucco videos, they have been a tremendous help with understand the process and effort required to get it done.Question about cutting the Tyvek Stucco wrap under windows etc. to put the two layers of paper underneath, this instructional Dupont/Tyvek video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKCVwZ4LtJE does not show that being done… While I understand the shingling effect you are getting by cutting the Tyvek I don't think it's worth cutting the wrap for it (IMHO)… One of your videos shows Tyvek Flex wrap under a window with three pull offs on the back, that's a great solution to this problem, but obviously not always possible (darn it ;-). I was wondering if you had any thoughts on other ways one could accomplish the same effect as cutting and shoving shingling effect that doesn't require cutting the wrap? Thanks for your time,
