Remove and repair an exterior porch ceiling for the DIY person

Remove and repair an exterior porch ceiling for the DIY person,
apply a ceiling texture

Hello everyone, in this video I explain and show step by step how to remove a failing exterior stucco porch ceiling. We first removed what was left of the stucco, next we applied a bonding agent to the wood lath and attached soffit 3.4 mesh to the complete ceiling. Lastly we applied 2 coats of stucco with a texture to match the original stucco finish.

Hi AtlasCoatingsAndCons, thank you, my son says, (dad, as long as you have to do the stucco work why not explain it?) Of course he happens to be a great camera guy and licensed stucco man too. The step by step explanation works well as my client lived across the country and wanted to make certain the ceiling repair fix was up to current plastering codes and would last forever.
    Have a groovy day!

Howdy pbg dude, please, copy and paste this title “Remove and repair interior plaster walls or ceilings.” into the search channel bar and a better video will appear for you interior project. FYI
There is a bit of a difference between interior plastering and exterior stucco.
Best wishes with your project and have a great rest of your day!
