Thanks kirk and J , I watch a lot of new construction by different trades here in Brisbane ,Australia ,houses around the $1 million mark ,but I never ever seen trades man so thought full of what and why they are constructing something that will last and be as trouble free as the steps you do.They lay tiles over shinny dusty concrete, they don't over lap vapour barrier enough or sometimes they start at the top )-:?Thanks for you great videos and lovely family.Grant

Good evening Grant, some folks are not concerned about longevity as they don't have the responsibility to guarantee their work for decades. FYI, nothing adheres for long, even tile when placed on a dusty surface such as concrete. Their tile may be already separating. Introducing peace, love, and harmony back to the plastering world. Something is relaxing about plastering within me, it's application brings tranquility or a Zen-Like feeling for me, Similarly to a book I read 40 years ago, ’The Good Earth’ written in 1937 by Pearl Buck, perhaps it the applications of 'minerals' being used or applied?
