@SkilledWorkforceUSA Thanks Steve, from Jason and I, very observant you should notice the background. The yellow house towards the right on pillars was worked on by me about 15 years ago. (I didn’t do the complete home) I had to set up a tarp to catch the stucco dropping so that it didn’t get into the lagoon, Can't be getting yelled at by the city. Have a great evening.

@BBrazy4 Hey brazy. I prefer a 20 inch Marshelltown pool trowel. I have about 15 trowels on my truck at all times in case an area calls for a different one. I usually keep a margin trowel in my back pocket for corners as my pool trowel is rounded. Marshelltown trowels are the best as they are flexible and last longer than other brands.
The average guy uses a Marshalltown trowel about 12 to 14 by 5. I use a large trowel because it holds more mud.
    Best wishes.

@TheSkydiverphoenix Thank you skydiver, they defiantly had the advantage when they designed and built this deck. How cool to wake up and have coffee on a deck with this view.
The stucco work was fun as flat straight wall are just too easy. Have a good evening.

If I was in this video I would've been the slow guy using the small trowel! haha I just could never work as fast as Kirk. Anyway thanks for video, enjoyed it as always and very informative.

@celticslimjim Hey Celtics, at one time I was that slow guy using the small trowel, but after practice we all naturally get faster and learn the techniques. I would bet whatever your trade is, I probably can't do it quickly either!
Best wishes and have a groovy evening.

hey kirk as usual very nice work ,the pillars look sharp great job everything looks true and straight and on a job with so many corners not an easy task ,a lot of work in the mesh alone before you start to plaster ,good prep is the key as i always say and you did a great job ,keep up the good work

hey kirk,  what are you shooting from the hopper? just very diluted base coat mix? I have a hopper for drywall texture that looks like yours – would I use the large tip? low or high pressure?

Morning ranger, hand help hoppers will shoot interior mud or stucco, the pressure takes some adapting to, too much and it will hit the wall and bounce off,
i generally add a bit of water to the stucco myself in order for it to flow through properly,
      Cheers,
