How to remove stucco on a stud wall

Howdy folks! In this video I show the process we use to lath a new window and door. We show how we remove the existing stucco which can be a real challenge on stud houses. Then, we waterproof it properly and attach our self furred 17 gauge wire. Here it is important to overlap the wire, or else you will get a perimeter crack every time.

Thanks for the Video, question, when you fortiflash the bottom of the window after the lath / paper was installed , are you just putting a piece that runs the whole bottom of the window plus 6 inces on each side? I cant see on the video where it ends. Are you also putting the side pieces of fortiflash on at this point. thank you

Evening Jay, it is best to goo the entire length of the window plus about 4 to 6 inches past each side. When a carpenter installs a window the bottom flashing and the sides which counter the bottom should already be installed before the window, after the window is installed then a Z flashing should be placed on top of the newly installed window, in a perfect world that is.
