Dryvit stucco finish coat

How to apply Dryvit stucco finish coat
Busy video, I explain too many things, opps,

Howdy guys and gals.I actually showed to many things in this video. This video explains step by step how we in the stucco industry apply the product called Dryvit this product is located in Hayward at Cal Ply their number is 510 429-8877 ask for Steve their sales manager. My personal opinion is that this acrylic is one of the best ever sold. We first pressure washed the complete home, next we caulked all the cracks, we then we applied fiber mesh tape over the cracks. I then used my airless sprayer to paint all the eves, I hand brushed all the window frames, with two coats of paint.
And finally we applied a Dryvit acrylic stucco finish to the entire home.
I was hired by Les Wiggins who is a general contractor he is located in Alameda. His number is 510 504-0611.
(Please note:) all acrylics are NOT created equal. Some are much better than others. Do your online researching well and Google customer reviews.

Hey Kirk and Jason, thanks for taking the time to share and put up with the occasional armchair quarterbacks. My Pops always told me, "if you can do better, show me!" He made it to 90 and taught me a lot but I keep learning. Take care Mr.

Since when has dryvit ever said that direct application of finish is acceptable without a basecoat? Color prime is hardly an acceptable form of basecoat. Without a base and mesh structure, how can you figure that the cracks won't come back through? Caulking is hardly an acceptable remedy for stucco cracks. Not knocking, but, I would like your point of view on this. Where I'm from, what you just showed, is highly unacceptable workmanship. I've got to hand it to you though. With the exception of this video, you seem to have more knowledge than most of the shanty swipers online

Hey Kirk how do you handle your scheduling? You know how things can take longer than you though. And you have customers schedualed? I always thought that was more work than the plastering itself. And do you do all your estimates on one day. or do you just do them after work whrn ever is clever? Thank You

On that type of finish are you supposed to use a plastic float
