Repair Styrofoam plaster molds with colors no longer available

March 4, 2011 By Stucco Plastering 10 Comments

Repair Styrofoam plaster molds with colors no longer available, there is a much simpler way to do this coat with any color then simply paint.

HI guys and gals, this video explains the long drown out methods of fixing Styrofoam molds while trying to match colors. The existing colors weren’t on any current LaHabra color charts. I have had that happen a few times as stucco companies are constantly changing colors to what’s trendy. I purchased various La Habra stucco colors at the material yard and matched it as best as possible without having a formula or the correct color number and manufacture. Of course it’s much easier to fix these molds with just a white color and have a person paint them. It didn’t help my efforts any that I was a bit under the weather this day! But sometimes you got to play, even when you’re hurt.

Hey Mushtak, your comment forced me to watch the whole 11 minutes of video. It’s accurate, as to explain repairing Styrofoam molds. It’s kind of boring, but for those folks who wish to correct damaged molds with stucco colors, It does show proper industry standards. The shadow was a bummer, but I can't force the sun to shine. Thanks for the comment, and remember you are welcome to show folks how it's really done if you’ve a mind to. Best wishes. Kirk Giordano Plastering

Good morning Isaac, thank you, that’s the purpose of showing what we do.
We figure the average DIY home owner can save time and possibly a bit of cash when fixing small stuff themselves.
